Chapter 9: The Gray Ballpen

Acela Logan’s POV

“Ruikov?” I heard Zaehyana speak that's why I woke up, I immediately stood up and noticed a newly opened room.

Zaehyana and I looked at each other and we stepped towards the room.

But before I go any further, I want to clarify that I am wearing purple and not pink. Psalm is the one wearing pink and Caledon's red and maroon uniform is close to the pink uniform. Aveliegh and Ruikov are not wearing red, only their masks are red. Some of us seem to be weak in color.

Until I stopped walking when I saw Finn hugging a dead woman. He was in tears while staring at the body of our colleague wearing yellow. He turned to us and said, "Alleah is dead too!"

No...

It seems that those who admit their screen name really die. But why is Finn still alive now that Evergreen mentioned that he is Neo?

"The color of the wall," Zaehyana said and Ruikov immediately looked at us.

The king was panting now that we were looking at him, a few moments later he stepped forward with his red mask. He was two meters away from Finn and the corpse then he laughed.

"It's a good thing you were able to kill someone as selfish and heartless as her," Ruikov said and Finn stood up.

“Why, Ruikov? I just arrived a few minutes ago and you were here before me.” Finn refused and immediately put on the glasses. "You killed Aveliegh." He pressed and Ruikov immediately showed his fist.

"Me, Zaehyana and Acela saw you holding her. You are late to the act. And you might as well be the one who killed Fleur.”

"It's not because I'm separated that I'm the killer." Finn smiled and held the red mask. "My clothes are gray and the wall is the same color as this thing." He added and Ruikov's teammates suddenly arrived.

“Aveleigh!!!” Psalm shouted and immediately approached the corpse with Irhys and Zephyrus.

I didn't understand what Finn was trying to convey. Is he saying the color of the wall symbolizes the color of the killer's clothing? Based on this, Ruikov's clothing was not red and the deceased Caitrin was wearing red.

In previous rooms where someone died the walls turned green. Does that mean that only one person has a plan to killed Blaize, Fleur and Caitrin? Could it really be Rodiquent who killed them now that he is wearing a green uniform? But Fleur just died wearing a green dress, did she commit suicide? Kermish's cover is also green. Finn seems to be leading everyone astray, now that he's strangely back.

Fortunately, I made it clear that I was wearing purple and Psalm was wearing pink now that the Level 25 room was pink when Yanna died.

"You, you killed Aveliegh." Pein pointed at Ruikov, while her colleagues Heaven, Froilan and Jaron were still entering.

“Crazy!”

“Killer!!!”

"Pein, it's not because I hate Aveliegh and I'm the first to get here that I'm the killer. I want her dead but I'm not the one who killed her. Finn is here too...”

"And Finn is the killer?"

"You're crazy, Pein! You may be the killer and you may have been here first, pretending to be asleep." Ruikov's theory smiled and stuck with Pein. "I believe it's a set-up." He added and Froilan just suspected Pein.

Froilan approached Finn who could actually die. They wanted him to question how he got to the room and how he lived. But they didn't expect the attitude of the one wearing eyeglasses.
