Tempestfern's Pride

I'm sorry that this isn't finished :(. Maybe I'll finish it when I have time. I am very busy this week. Also, the indention didn't work when I copied this over. I hope that doesn't count against me? This story is supposed to be how Tempestfern becomes deputy.

Tempestfern's Pride

Tempestfern dropped three, silver minnows at the fresh-kill pile. Behind her, Briar shook out her pelt and carried two crabs over to Foxdusk. Oceanwater and Violetpool each did the same, dropped part of their catch onto the fresh-kill and went over to share with a Clanmate. Tempestfern followed suit; spraying salty drops in every direction. It was great to be a warrior, at last. She had lead her first hunting patrol, and it had felt to be... well, in control. To not be bossed around for a change, to be seen as an equal. Only the dim blue light of the glowing algae and of the waning moon lit up the cave, but she stil recognized Hornetleaf's red tabby pelt as he waved at her. Next to him sat Mousepelt and Watersong. As she settled next to Hornetleaf, she noticed the tense mood. Treefern twitched her tail nervously, and Magpie paced anxiously outside the nursery.
