Ethan's POV:

"So what'd he say?" Hazel came up to me asking me something.

"Who?"

"Grayson." Oh great. Now all she's gonna talk about is my brother. But I still get happy whenever she's around me even though she'll never like me back.

"Oh. Right. He just kept denying it. But I'm pretty sure he likes you because I can tell when he lies."

"Really?" She blushed hiding her smile. It broke my heart because it was my brother making her smile like that. Not me.

Saturday//

Hazel's POV:

For the past two days, Ethan has been helping me out with Grayson.

"So say I want something more between us... What do I do?" I asked.

"Spontaneously kiss him."

"Haha what?!" I asked shocked.

"Yeah. You aren't getting anywhere with you two ignoring each other. So just do it. I know it's weird."

"But I haven't had my first kiss yet."

"Oh yeah. Well he's gonna do something like this." He said while scooting closer to me.

His eyes went to my lips. "He'll look at your lips when you're about to do it. When he's close to you, he'll rest his thumb on your cheek like this." He said while doing it.

Then my door opened.

"The queen has arrived." Said Erika plopping on the bed with us.

"Hey." We both said sitting there silently for a while.

"Well you guys are boring. I'm gonna get a snack." She said.

After a while, Erika hasn't come back up stairs so I went down to get snacks too.

When I entered the kitchen, I saw Erika making out with Grayson who was leaning on the wall. I stared at them for a few seconds as my face got hot from so much anger rising through me. I just wanted to rip her hair off.

I went to the pantry cooly. I acted calm as if I didn't care. "Ok cool." I said grabbing some chips, and they stopped turning their shocked faces towards me before I turned to walk out.

Entering my room, I made no emotion.

"I'm fine. I am okay." I said to myself.

"Um. What's up with you?" Ethan asked on my bed as I sat next to him.

"I just saw Erika on Grayson making out."

I looked up at him and his eyes were wide. "Yikes." He said.

The door slammed open revealing Erika with sincerity on her face. Fake.

"Hazel I'm so so sorry!"

I rolled my eyes.

"Ew stop talking." I replied.

"... But no seriously I -"

"Leeeave, slut! The door is right there."

Once she walked out and closed the door, I said to Ethan, "Payback's a bitch."

It was finally dark outside, so Ethan and I got in his car. He drove us two to Erika's house.

"I'm coming to take pictures." He said.

"Why?!"

"For Instagram, duh."

"No! What the hell?!" I exclaimed.

"I'm kidding. I'm just taking pictures to look back on and laugh at."

"Alright. Fine." We giggled.

Using the key that I stole from her before she left, we unlocked the house door. All the lights were off. As we walked upstairs, we made creaking noise.

"Shhh!" I hushed at him, then we laughed.

We got in her bathroom, and behold... Her makeup.
