"It's been a few days now, and ever since Grayson found out I was eavesdropping, he hasn't been nice nor mean to me. He completely ignores me!" I said to Jasmine and Erika.

"See! I knew you liked him! Or else you wouldn't be upset about this." Erika said.

"Ugh. Yes, I do. Gasp." I replied, and explained to them what happened at In N' Out when Grayson heard me.

"So now that he knows it was you, it's really awkward and he doesn't talk to you..?" Jasmine asked reassuringly.

"UGH. Yes." I said cringing at the fact that he now knows I like him. "Grayson Dolan. The one who has annoyed me for 16 years - is the one I like."

"Maybe he likes you back?" Jasmine asked.

"Hah. No. He said it." I replied.

I drove back home after school. I just fell on my bed with my snacks. "I've missed you." I said into the pillow.

After hearing the garage door open, yelling and laughter fill the downstairs. Jay brought the boys. Great. Love life. I thought.

The door opened and it revealed a smiling Ethan. He plopped on my bed next to me. "Sup bup!" He asked laying on his side next to me, resting his head on his elbow.

"Eating.. What it do?" I asked fake smiling back. Just him being with me usually makes me immediately happy, but with the thought of the Grayson problems I'm still upset.

Ethan's POV:

"What's wrong?" I asked tapping her nose finally letting out a giggle which made me smile.

"Ah, nothing. Just school." She replied.

"Hazel, I know you're lying."

"I don't know." She said looking down still not making much eye contact. "You sure you want to hear this?" She asked while sitting up against her pillows.

"Of course." I replied, sitting up too.

"Ok you're gonna be hella shocked," I looked at her hair falling down peacefully to the side, and admired her moving lips. "but... I have a crush on Grayson." She finished her sentence looking up at me with those big eyes.

My heart dropped. "... Oh." That's all that came out of my mouth. Then I realized I had to act surprised and not sad. "My god. That's crazy!"

"I know right!" She said moving her fingers through her hair. "I'm still in shock too."

"B-but I thought you guys like hated each other?" I asked.

"Yeah. Even the whole school knows that. Like us dating would be the last thing anyone would think about... But remember when he started acting nice to me randomly?"

"Yeah." I'm the one that told Gray to do that.

"Well ever since that, my feels fucked me up so much and now I have a crush on him."

"Who would have thought."

"This is gonna sound super weird, but... Could you help me out with something?" She asked nervously.

"Sure. What is it?"

"Can you see if he likes me back?" My heart broke some more.

"Yeah." I pulled a half smile.

"Thanks, Eth!"

"Yep!" I replied, getting up throwing a peace sign as I exited.

Hazel's POV:

That was really weird how Ethan just seemed down after a few seconds of being happy coming into my room.

I kept thinking about it, and I remembered how I always thought Ethan was cute. Never thought of him as anything more, but ever since a kid there was something about him that gave me butterflies.
