To sort out my thoughts, I rode on my penny board to a boardwalk that was located at the nearest lake in our area. In the summer, my friends and I will come here. But plenty of times throughout the year I'll go here when I need to release some stress.

I sat on the edge so that my legs dangled freely over the water. I looked in front of me to see the purple, pink, and orange sun set. It was the perfect time to visit this place.

I heard shoes hitting the wood behind me. I quickly turned around, scared to see who it was since no one was out here. But it was Grayson. Why the fuck is he here.

"What do you want." I asked in an annoyed tone.

"I come here sometimes to clear my mind." He replied sitting very close to me almost shoulders touching.

"No you don't. I do that."

"Believe it or not, I do... Did you follow me?"
He asked jokingly. Why is he not being mean?

"I should be asking you that."

It was quiet for a bit as I looked down at the ripples hearing the water softly hit the boardwalk.

"Honestly, though. I'm actually quite shocked to see you here as well." Guess he didn't follow me.

"Grayson, why are you talking to me?"

"Because I want to."

"Really? Cause it didn't seem like that for the past few weeks. You're supposed to hate me and be with Erika."

"I need to tell you something."

I finally made eye contact with him to show that I'm waiting for his answer.

"I have feelings for you." He said looking deep into my eyes.

"Good joke." I replied getting up to leave.

"No, Hazel stay!" He said grabbing my hand which made my arm feel weak.

He stood up to face me. "It was wrong of me to push you away. I'm sorry. It's just that I wasn't accepting the fact that I really like you, and also because..."

I was shocked at all his words, but I didn't show it. I know he was sincere and being honest.

"Because of Ethan."

"What about him?"

"Well I couldn't go after my brother's crush."

"I need to go." I replied.

"What? Why?"

"I need some space. Cause you just complicated things TEN TIMES MORE!" I shouted as I walked away and grabbed my board.
