I glare as Aegon as he got my brothers to dress up a pig and tease Aemond about not having a dragon. Aegon tugs on my arm as he laughs but I yank it away.
"You don't have to be a dick about it, Aegon." I spit at him causing him to frown.
"Its just Aemond, why are you so upset it was a joke?" Aegon asks.
"If you've forgotten Aemond Isn't the only one with out a dragon." I say pushing him away and running after Aemond into the dragon pit.
"Aemond? Come back, it's dangerous to be in here. We'll get in trouble." I jog to catch up, and find him nearing Helena's dragon Dreamfyre.
Dreamfyre shows her upset by roaring and lighting the pits in flames of orange, I grab Aemond's arm as the heat of the flames lick at my skin and tug him away we run out of the pits only to get caught and taken to the Queen.
"Aemond, Maelor." The queen stands from Helena's side as a guard marches us into the room, my hand is still clasped tightly with Aemonds.
"What have you two done?" The queen asks and I look down not wanting to get Aemond in trouble even though I know we both are going to be in trouble anyways.
"He did it again." Helena says.
"After, how many times you've been warned, must I have you confined to your chambers?!" The queen shouts and I jump, tears come to my eyes as I didn't mean to upset her.
"Maelor didn't do anything, he tried to stop me." Aemond says letting go of my hand. The queen sighs and strokes my face.
"I wont tell Rhaynera, just go sit with Helena." She tells me gently and I nod and walk over and plop down next to the princess. She passes me the bug she was holding and I smile as I let it crawl along my skin, it climbs from my hand to hers and back again.
As The queen and Aemond talk things out I whisper to Helena.
"Do you want to search for bugs in the godswood?" I ask and she nods with a smile.
"You will have a dragon one day." Alicent tells Aemond.
"He'll have to close an eye." Helena whispers and I frown.
I've learned to listen closley to what Helena says as her prophecy's tend to always come true.

I was laid in Aegons bed beside him, I sigh and lay my head on his shoulder.
"Your upset, what can I do? I can call a maid." He says and I frown.
"I hate that you do that, if a woman doesn't want to lay with you, you shouldn't force them to Aegon." I tell him and I sit up to leave.
He grabs my arm to stop me and I sigh.
"I'll stop, I didn't realize it upset you so much." He tells me and wraps an arm around my waist and lays his chin on my shoulder.
"What else upsets you?" Aegon asks.
"I wish to be a dragon rider, I train with a sword harder than anyone else, so one day I may fight. But I cant be a dragon rider without a dragon." I tell him. He hugs me tighter.
"I wont tell you that one day you'll get one like everyone else, I know you hate it. But if you dont maybe I will join you on sunfyre and we can ride him together. I smile at Aegon and lean back into him.

I was sat in my mothers room since she called upon me.
"I heard their was trouble in the training yard." She speaks as she sow's.
"Sir Cristian made Aegon and Jace fight, and Sir Harwin put his nose were it doesn't belong." I tell her.
She sighs as she glances up at me.
"I wish you spent more time with your brother." She tells me and I stay silent." You will be heir after me Maelor, you should want to keep your family close." She tells me and I frown.
"Can I go play?" I ask her and she looks at me with disappointment.
"You may." She sighs out shaking her head.

At Laena's funeral I greeted my grandsire and the Queen, walked around with Aemond and Aegon but, spent most of my time with Helena, we sat on the chatting quietly as Aegon and Aemond watched as play with bugs. Aegon was upset because he had to marry Helena, but I would have no problem marrying her.
Before bed I showed them my dragon that I flew here myself, Meraxes. She was big even bigger than Vhagar, beautiful silver scales with hints of a pinkish-red on her spikes, with beautiful golden eyes.
I promised Aemond I would take him on a ride before I left back to DragonStone.
It was in the middle of the night when I heared a roar. I got out of bed and saw Aemond land on Vhagar I followed them to see Aemond in a fight with my brothers and cousin's.
I grab Jace before he could slash his blade at Aemond only for him to slash it across my face. With a scream I fall to floor holding my face. I try to open my eyes but they burn as sweat, tears, and blood mingle inside them.
I hear Aemond scream too but soon Guards come.
We are brought to the queen and king, Aemond was sat in a chair as the maesters fix his eye. I sat on the floor next to him holding a rag to my face with one hand and his hand in the other. The adults speak but it sounds as if I was under water, unable to make out really what anyone was saying. I knew Aegon got in trouble for something, but it wasn't until my name was spoken that my head was pulled out of the water.
"And what of Maelor?! Your so worried about Jacaerys and Lucerys, that you forget your oldest." The queen shouts.
Aemond crouches in front of me and helps me up and my mother gasp.
"Maelor, I-I didn't know." She try's to come over but Alicent blocks her way as the maesters remove the cloth from my face.
"How is he? Will he lose his eye too?" Alicent asks as my mother stays back at a distance playing with her fingers.
"His eye will be fine, but the wound is deep above the eye and across his cheek, it will leave a scar." I wince as he sows up some tender areas.
