I watch as Jace try's and fails to learn our language.

Mother and I just got done with a screaming match.

She yells I should build bonds with our family, and I yell that I do not wish to be king. I wish to be a warrior, I wish to fly into battle and one day die in battle not sit and die on a thrown.

Mother tells us to pack and get ready to head to kings landing. Having the biggest dragon I know I will get there faster, especially since my mother and Daemon will go by ship with the young children.

I fly ahead and get to kingslanding an hour earlier then everyone else. I Meet with the Queen who greets me with a hug.

"Oh, Maelor, look how big you've gotton." She says and I chuckle. She pulls away and have to look up at me." Even taller than Aemond, he shot up too you know, taller than Aegon now. Oh how they will all be so excited to see you." She says happily.

"I'll call upon Helena, why dont you visit the king, he missed you while you were gone, not many people visited him in his old age but you always took the time to read to him." I nod.

I read to the king and told him of my training with Daemon, how I've bested him in fights and how I craved to fight in battles.

Then I return to the Queen's Alicent and Helena.

"Maelor." Helena says with a smile and comes in for a hug. I sit with the ladys and chat.

"Where might I find Aegon and Aemond?" I ask them as I stand to up and stretch getting ready to greet my uncles.

"Aegon is probubly drunk and whoring, while Aemond will be training with Sir Cristian." Alicent tells me and I kiss her cheek before I leave.

"I'll see you both at Dinner then?" I ask and Alicent nods.

"You'll sit next to me wont you?" Helena asks and I smile.

"Yes, and I would love to see your beautiful children too." I say picking up her hand and leaving a kiss.

I leave the room and make my way to the training yard ignoring all the stares and whispers. I watch Aemond fight Cristian and win and I clap and step forward. 

"May I have a go, Uncle." I speak up. People look my way and Aemond grins.

"Of course, it would be my pleasure." Aemond says. I pull out my Valyrian steel sword Langclaw.

We fight, blade against blade, I was taller than Aemond almost 6'2, stronger and bulkier, but not to bulky still slim waisted. But Aemond was faster, but still no match, as I trained all the time to get away from my family.

I knock Aemond down with my sword to his neck, I smile down at him and bput my sword away and give him a hand up.

"Welcome home." Aemond says patting my back and I smile at him and push our foreheads together.

"I missed you. You were more my brother than anyone else." I whisper to him and his grip on me tightens untill I pull away and see his one good eye is glassy. He looks over my shoulder and his face hardens.

"Nephews..." Aemond calls out and I turn to see Jace and Luke." Have you come to train?" Aemond asks. The gates open and I slip back into the castle to hunt down Helena and her twins.

"This is Jaehaerys, the boy and this is Jaehaera the girl." Helena says. I smile and sit down on the floor with the twins. They giggle and clap as they pull on my fingers. I chuckle along with them.

"I missed you, truly, nothing was the same with you gone." She says sadley taking a seat on the floor near me as the twins climb into my lap and rest their heads on my chest.

"How do you mean?" I ask her and she plays with her fingers.

"I got lonely, Aemond had no one to protect him from Aegon, and Aegon.... he turned to drinking and whoring. It seems that you were the glue that held us together." She tells me and I sigh.

"Im sorry, I wish things could have been different." I tell her and she smiles at me.

"They will be now that your back." She tells me and I reach a hand out for her to hold making sure the twins were safely in my lap.

Alicent walks in and looks surprised to see me but smiles, The trial will be beginning soon, Maelor, you should stand with your family.

"I wont be going." I tell her as I stand and hand each baby to a maid." May I stay with the babes?" I ask Alicent and Helena." I dont wish to stand with my family as they fight for Lukes right to Driftmark very well knowing we're b-" I cut myself off and look away.

Alicent walks to me slowly and takes my hand." You are family. That is who you are. If you wish to stay here you may." She says and leaves a kiss on my cheek.

"Where the hell were you?!" My mother says bursting into my chambers I glance away from Aegon who shouted at me for not greeting him first, yet hugged me tight upon finding me." Aegon may I speak to my son privatly?" My mother asks and I speak for him.

"No, he just got hear, what ever you want to yell at me about can be done in front of him." I tell her and she gets angrier.

"We came here for Luke, he needed you, we were to stand together as a family and my heir was no where to be found. Alicent was more than happy to point that out by the way, we were lucky my father came in." She rants as I finish my cup of wine and snatch Aegons from him and down his too.

"Are you even listening to me?" My mother asks and I sigh.

"Everything turned out fine, I was unneeded like always." I tell her and Aegon puts his hand on my knee.

She scoffs." I can never count on you can I?" She asks and I stay silent, with one last sigh she storms out of my room and I lay back onto the couch Aegon and I was sat on. I close my eyes only for a minute latter to open them when I feel someone touching my face. 

Aegon leaned in close to me and traced the scar along my face. I gently grab his hand and he pulls our intertwined hand to his lips and kisses the back of mine.

"I missed you." He tells me and I smile.

"Everyone keeps saying." I whisper to him.

"They didn't miss you as much as I did." He tells me and There was a certain look in his eyes that I couldn't place." When my mother told me I was to marry Helena, I was upset. I asked her why I couldn't marry you." I grow tense at his words as he trails his hand down my chest." She said it was because men weren't meant to be with men but women, and I had to do my duty." I huff as he reaches my pants and tugs on it." I still don't fully understand how it could be so wrong, when I want you so bad." He whispers against my lips. 

I push myself forward and tangle our lips together. He moans against my lips and I lift his hips to lay on my lap to bring him closer and tangle my hand in his hair, he does the same to me and I grown at the tugging of his hand in my hair, loving the pain.

A knock on my door made as pull away quickly, I stand and move to the fire place.

"Enter."

A maid walks in," Dinner, the king wants his family to dine together." She says and leaves.
