PART TWO OF TWO

The older woman shook the young girl's hand off and stepped closer to Ryomen, her eyes wide with terror. "We deserve it after allowing that crime. She was an innocent woman," The lady says, looking over at me. I freeze, having not expected someone to meet my eyes.I quickly realize they can't see me.

But I still feel awkward and a bit unnerved by her gaze, wondering what she is thinking and looking for. "What did you just say?" Ryomen's eyes snap to the woman, his body stilling, his voice dangerously low. The older woman looked away, her face flushed. "We had to; they would have killed our whole town."

Her words cut into me like a knife, and my heart sank. I didn't know if this was an actual memory or something Sukuna created for me, but the words pierced me either way. I felt sick to my stomach, the bile rising in my throat. I wanted to scream, to run away. I could feel the panic building in my chest, the realization of the truth weighing heavily on me. The villagers had no idea they had just signed their own death sentence, and Ryomen would make sure they all suffered before they met their end.

My eyes wander, and I find a man and a young boy hiding behind a building, watching the crowd grow. "Do not fear." The lady's hand is placed firmly on the back of her scared daughter's head, and a determined look washes over her face, and my stomach drops. "Sukuna, please, stop this; the children are innocent in this," I whispered loudly, trying to catch Sukuna's attention, knowing I couldn't intervene without alerting Ryomen. "MOVE WOMAN," one man bellows. "Leave and get your daughter to safety unless you have a death wish," a few villagers mutter and agree.

Her face remains stoic, her eyes glancing back at the shop for a moment, then back at Ryomen's dark shadow as his body loomed, dark as the night. "I will make your death swift and clean; it is the only mercy I will give you," Ryomen said to the woman, and she nodded.

"Forgive me. I heard your wife's screams, but I was too scared to help—too scared of the repercussions that the higher-ups would bring to the village." The old woman dropped her head in shame. "She must've been working at her family's shop while everything went down" the way mumbled. The man yelled at the woman again for standing there, "Run, you fool."

"May your soul rot in hell," Ryomen growled. His hand made a slashing motion as the old woman's head rolled. But his other hand grabs the child behind the old woman's legs. She screamed and thrashed, tears running down her face as her mother's head rolled lifelessly in the dirt. "NO, PLEASE" She cries out.

Sukuna laughs, "Look at her—so young, and she's already seen enough horror to last a lifetime." He snickers as his younger version pulls the girl into his arms. "She will never forget this," he cackles, his smile twisting up."No, NO!" the villagers scream, their voices echoing in the night, their fear and despair palpable. They began to rush toward Ryomen, their anger and hatred fueling their courage, but it was futile.

Ryomen stood there, unmoving, the girl crying in his arms, the blood from the woman's neck splattered across her face, and a twisted grin stretched across his face. The energy surrounding him crackled and sparked"It's too late for that," he said, his voice laced with malice, his eyes blazing. "You should have thought about that before you killed my wife," his voice boomed, the anger and resentment filling his words. "Allow me to show you what is left of my heart." He laughed maniacally.
