Y/n sat in the corner of his room, steadfast in his refusal to leave. His life seemed an illusion, a punishment for a fate he never desired. The revelation that his father was a demon tormented him, prompting the question: could a demon truly walk among the chosen of God? In his turmoil, the boy sent fervent prayers, beseeching God's mercy and salvation.
There would be no answer...
Walter and Sir Integra made every effort to soothe the boy and persuade him to leave the room's corner, but all attempts proved futile. The growing concern for the boy's mental well-being became palpable as he appeared increasingly sadder and more despondent with each passing day. The situation pained Walter deeply; despite his vast array of talents and skills, he found himself powerless to mend his dear nephew's fractured psyche.
Y/n found herself praying fervently, hoping for salvation from his doomed destiny. He yearned not to descend into hell after death because his mother would not be there; Catherine would be in heaven, awaiting him. A wave of anger washed over Y/n as he contemplated—why? Why had his mother remained silent?
Was she ashamed? of him?
Overwhelmed by his thoughts, Y/n lost all hope and resigned to sitting on his bed, gazing vacantly ahead. His once bright eyes had become dull and lifeless, with tears trickling down his cheeks. It appeared there was no remedy for Y/n's despair...
That was until someone knocked on his door before entering...
Y/n's gaze lifted momentarily, and he found himself staring at a newcomer—a petite woman with spiky blonde hair that appeared to glow in the sunlight. She was clad in a military uniform, and the Hellsing crest on her arm caught Y/n's attention, indicating that she was an operative under Sir Integra.
Had she come to speak with him?
Seras: H-Hi there Y/n...my name is Seras Victoria...
Sears had of course learned about Y/n as Sir Integra and Walter spoke about the boy constantly, she couldn't believe it, the boy didn't look like much but she knew he was a half demon, yet when Seras started into Y/n eyes, he saw what appeared to be pure despair and crippling sadness...
Seras: M-May I sit with you for a minute?
Y/n merely nodded his head slightly, Sears walked over and sat down beside the young half demon.
Seras: I was told your not dong very well...
Y/n: No...I'm not...
More tears spilled from Y/n eyes as he brought his legs up to his chest in a effort to comfort himself...
Sears: I know you must be going through hell right now, but everyone's here for you, I'll always be here to listen.
Y/n however said something that caused Seras to freeze up...
Y/n: Does she hate me?...
Seras: W-Who?
Y/n: Mum, she never told me about this, did...did she hate me?
Seras reacted quickly, she may not be the smartest person or the brightest, but she knew for a fact that Y/n's mother didn't hate him, from the brief conversation with Walter, it was abundantly clear that Catherine wanted nothing but the best for her son...
Seras: She doesn't hate you! she probably just wanted to keep you safe!
Y/n wasn't convinced, yet Seras's words did have some comfort to him, wiping some tears away from his eyes, Y/n calmed down if only for a moment...
Y/N: Y-You know...what i am?...
Seras: Yes I do, but I'm not scared of you if that's what you're getting at.
