The autumn air is crisp as I step out of the car, my heart pounding with both excitement and nerves.

Today, I'm visiting Haerin at her office for the first time. Dressed in a cute, comfortable outfit—a cozy white sweater, a check cashmere beige Burberry scarf, and a pink trench coat—I carry a basket filled with fruits and homemade food.

The entrance of the building is sleek and modern, with glass doors and a polished lobby. I take in the intricate details around me as I approach the receptionist, a young woman with a professional smile.

"Good morning. How can I help you?" she asks.

"Hello, I'm here to see Haerin—the CEO," I say, trying to sound confident.

The receptionist raises an eyebrow, clearly doubtful. "Do you have an appointment?"

A smile spreads across my face as I answer, "No, but I'm Danielle Kang."

Recognition flashes in her eyes, and she immediately straightens up. "Mrs. Kang! Oh my, I'm so sorry. Please, right this way."

She leads me to the elevator, pressing the button for the top floor. "Haerin is in the conference room on the eighth floor, second door on the left. I'll notify her you're on your way."

"Thank you," I reply, bowing slightly, and she returns the gesture.

I step into the elevator, my heart flutters with excitement. The elevator ride is smooth, giving me a moment to admire the building's sleek design even more.

The doors open. I step out into a corridor and walk towards the conference room.

I gently push the door open and peer inside. Haerin and Minji are at the front of the room, surrounded by people in sharp suits, deep in conversation.

Haerin, standing at five foot eleven, commands attention in her sharp black suit and tie. Beside her, Minji, slightly taller, looks equally confident in a dark tailored suit.

They both look so confident and elegant, standing there in their full suits, completely owning the room.

Haerin notices me right away. Her expression softens instantly.

For a moment, time freezes as she calls out with a warm smile, "Unnie!"

I walk over, feeling the eyes of everyone in the room on me. Haerin opens her arms, pulling me into a hug. She gently kisses my head, and I swear my heart's about to explode—the Kang Haerin is literally kissing my head in front of everyone!

"Everyone, this is Kang Danielle, my wife," Haerin introduces me proudly.

I bury my face in Haerin's neck, clinging to her with both hands as I squeal softly. I'm just too shy for something like this.

They seem impressed, perhaps because it's rare for someone to change their surname in Korea.

One of the attendees comments, "It's rare to see someone change their surname. That's quite a statement."

Haerin smiles, her eyes shining with love. "Danielle wanted to take my surname. It means a lot to both of us."

I nod. "Yes, it felt right."

Haerin continues to introduce me, her voice filled with pride. "Danielle is an amazing cook. She's always making the most delicious food for me. And she's the most amazing woman I've ever met. She's been through so much and comes out stronger every time. I'm so lucky to have her in my life."
