It's finally the weekend, and that means I get to spend the entire day with my wife. As planned, we're starting our day at the beautiful flower park for a picnic before heading to the nearby beach. It's been a dream of mine to do both, and Haerin made it happen effortlessly. She's incredible like that, always paying attention to the little things I say.
I squeal in delights as we stroll through the park, arm in arm. The park is filled with vibrant colors and life—couples, families, and friends all enjoying the crisp autumn day. The trees are a stunning mix of orange, red, and yellow. The air is cool and fresh, just perfect for a day out.
"Do you like it?" Haerin asks, her eyes soft and warm as she looks at me.
"Like it? I love it!" I exclaim, leaning in to kiss her cheek. "It makes me want to have you every night, passionate nights, you know."
Haerin's eyes widen, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. Did she just blush? Oh my, she's so cute!
"Unnie, you're naughty girl," she teases, giving me a playful look.
I laugh, kissing her cheek again, loving the way her blush deepens.
We find a perfect spot on a grassy hill and spread out a checkered picnic mat in shades of blue and white.
Haerin opens the picnic basket, revealing an assortment of food she prepared—sandwiches, sausages, and a thermos of hot chocolate. I can't believe how quickly she's picked up cooking. She's becoming quite the chef.
I pull out mine—strawberries, blueberries, cherry tomatoes, and my absolute favorite—carrots! We arrange the food neatly, making the spread look as appetizing as possible.
Just as Haerin reaches for a strawberry, I swat her hand away, causing her to yelp in surprise.
"Ouch, unnie, what was that for?" She looks at me with a puzzled expression.
"Pictures first, then we eat," I declare, holding up a polaroid camera.
She sighs dramatically, rolling her eyes. "Hurry up then, I'm starving."
I giggle, snapping a few shots of our picnic setup and then turning the camera on Haerin. She looks effortlessly charming in her jeans, white shirt, and dark denim jacket. She doesn't even need to try, she's just naturally photogenic.
I take a selfie with her, pressing our cheeks together. As the camera clicks, Haerin turns her head and kisses my cheek, making me blush furiously.
I look at the polaroid, grinning at the sight of Haerin kissing me, our arms wrapped around each other, my eyes closed in bliss. It's perfect. This photo is definitely going on my desk at home.
"You look so beautiful today, my love," she says softly, tucking a loose curl behind my ear.
I bury my face in her neck, squealing in embarrassment. She loves making me blush like this, and I both hate and love it!
"Stop playing with my feelings," I mumble against her neck.
"Why would I?" she murmurs, pulling me closer. "I love you dearly, and I'm trying to be better and get to know you more every single day. I don't want you to be just my wife, sunshine. I want you to be the love of my life."
