Ford needed some signs that his work was all for something and not a dead-end after all these years of staying in Gravity Falls. He looked up at his chalkboard with his brows furrowed, it was filled with all the strange things he had found in this town, but what did it all mean? They all just led up to a big red question mark. He sighed to himself and brushed his hand through his brown hair to try and clear his head. Maybe he was thinking too hard and just needed to take a break and come back when he's in a better state. Makes sense, right?

He walks out of the house and squeezes his eyes close the minute he walked outside. The Sun was beaming down from the large pines and immediately went towards Ford's eyes. They happened to be extra sensitive since he's been working in his home and not in direct sunlight. Holding out his hand on his face, Ford creates a visor with his hand to protect his eyes from the harsh rays from hurting his eyes any longer. It doesn't take long before Ford is used to being outside and exploring the nature that surrounded him. He took the most basic notes on the area surrounding his home. Maybe the answer was just in front of him, and he didn't realize it. Seems like something this town would try and pull off.

Ford had walked a long distance from his house before coming in contact with something he's never seen before.

"A cave? Why haven't I've seen this before...?" Ford questioned as he hurried over to the entrance of the cave with much fascination.

Looking at the entrance itself, it looks to be manmade, but there were no historical records about it in Ford's journal. Ford hummed to himself and rubbed his chin on what to do. Is it safe to go in? What if he gets trapped? Who would save him? Having these questions linger in his head, he thought back to all his efforts to find the answers to the mysteries of Gravity Falls. If he were to stop now...it would be all for nothing. Ford took in a deep breath before tightening his fists and keeping his head up as he entered into the cave. There was no turning back now. Ford wasn't a stranger to exploring dangerous places on his own, but this place looked more worn down than any other place he's seen before. How old is this cave? Looking around it started to get darker and colder the more he entered. Maybe he should turn around. He had no light after all and wouldn't know where he was going and possibly killing himself in the process. Agreeing with himself in his mind, Ford began to turn around to go back to the entrance before he heard a loud 'WOOSH!' behind him.

Quickly, he flashed his head over to the sound and saw in front of him...a lamp? Raising an eyebrow at this, Ford approaches it carefully to make sure it was just a lamp and not some secret anomaly waiting to kill him at any moment. Inching closer and closer to it, he kicks it with his leg softly to see if it would do anything. Watching it do nothing, but just be stationary, Ford grabs it off the floor and holds it out in front of him. Someone must've seen that he needed a light. But, who or what did it?

Walking more into the deep, dark, cold abyss, Ford finds interesting writing on the walls. Ford recalls it looking like that of early cavemen drawings in North America and looks closer at it. He reaches out his six-fingered hand out towards the wall and delicately touches the fine artistry on the wall.

"Beautiful..." Ford murmurs to himself as he tried to make out what the drawings were depicting.

Holding out his lamp further, he finds more up ahead, but the drawings seemed to get more and more deeper the further you traveled in. Ford's excitement only grew as he saw these drawings. More mysteries! More stories about a whole different world we didn't even know existed! Walking further into the cave, Ford hurriedly looked over all the drawings. He was able to make out some of the depictions as offerings being made towards someone, but...who is that someone. Ford's curiosity only grew at the question. His brain filled with more questions and new doors were being opened to his investigation of this town. Ford's pace began to slow down again as he knew he neared a big discovery. Using the lamp as a guide, Ford was able to enter into a large open space area in the cave. The structure of the place was carved out nicely by the cavemen that once lived here, but what were they doing here in Oregon? Seems very strange.
