[We cut to a montage showing reunions and celebrations. At Clint Barton's farm, he joyfully reunites with his family. At Peter Parker's school, Peter and Ned meet in the hallways. They share a handshake before giving each other a heartfelt hug. In San Francisco, Scott Lang watches fireworks with Cassie Lang and Hope Van Dyne. In Wakanda, T'Cahlla, Shuri, and Ramonda oversee the celebrations from their balcony.]
Everyone smiles at all the friends and families getting reunited once more.
[Cut to Gabrielle helping Bucky with his tie.]
BUCKY BARNES: I never thought I would attend my best friend's funeral at 106.
"Right," Bucky mutters. "I'm turning 100 next year." Gabbs pats his shoulder reassuringly.
GABRIELLE BARNES: I never thought I would be attending Captain America's funeral. [Bucky laughs sadly and quietly. A car honk comes from outside the window, and Gabrielle looks through the window.] Stark's here.
[She grabs Bucky's hand and leads him outside.]
TONY STARK: The Barnes'! [He opens his arms wide.] Ready for a bunch of reporters to be in your faces?
"Straight to the point, huh Tony?" Nat asks with a small, teasing smile. The billionaire shrugs in response.
BUCKY BARNES: [blutly] No.
GABRIELLE BARNES: Stark, I don't like your coping mechanism. [Tony stares at her for a long time.]
"I don't like it either," Pepper says.
"I'm being attacked!" Tony exclaims.
TONY STARK: [sighs] You're right, it's shit. We're gonna be late if we don't leave soon. [Gabrielle nods and pulls Bucky into the back seat of the car. Pepper and Morgan are already inside. Happy Hogan is at the wheel. Tony joins them.] Alright, Happy.
[Cut to where the funeral is being held. Tony's limo drives up and he is the first one out. Cameras start clicking. Pepper and Morgan follow. Then, Gabrielle and Bucky. Gabrielle looks around nervously, but Bucky gives her hand a reassuring squeeze.]
[We are shown several people talking at Steve's funeral. Many say meaningless things about how he served his country. The Avengers start to go up. After everyone had finished speaking, Bucky went up to talk.]
BUCKY BARNES: [he clears his throat and taps the microphone before leaning in real close. Whispers] Fucking. Dumbass.
"Wow, thanks Buck," Steve deadpans.
"Of course, Stevie!" Bucky snickers.
[As he walks away, everyone stares at him in shock. Gabrielle and Tony give him matching approving smiles, though Tony's is closer to a smirk.]
[Cut to Tony's cabin where the Avengers are holding their own smaller funeral for Steve. Clint and Wanda are standing by the riverside.]
CLINT: You know, I wish there was a way– that I could let her know. That we won. [Looks over to Wanda.] We did it.
Nat grabs Clint's hand and squeezes it reassuringly. He sends her a small smile.
WANDA MAXIMOFF: She knows– They both do.
[Clint gives her a side hug and Wanda reciprocates.]
[Later, Tony introduces Morgan to everyone.]
TONY STARK: ...and this is your Aunt Gabrielle and Uncle Bucky.
Gabbs and Bucky look at the screen, surprised. "I- wow, Tony," Bucky says.
