Once everyone sees that the series is over, they all let out a sigh of relief. After all, it is late and they are hungry, so Minnie McG transfigures the hall back into tables so everyone can eat.

After learning about Gabrielle's unfortunate problem with her spine, everyone notices that she almost always sits up straight, having perfect posture even (and especially) when Bucky has an arm around her shoulders.

Lily, being a healer, can't help but think about a way to help her old friend.

The Avengers and Co. who had stayed the night before show the arrivals of the day to the Room of Requirement to sleep. Lily can't help but notice that Gabrielle lays straight as a board on one of the many couches while almost everyone else disperses to the rooms to sleep.

Bucky crouches near her. "Hey," he whispers. "You okay?"

She hums. "Back's startin' to hurt."

He sighs. "Sorry, doll." He kisses her forehead and sits next to her on the floor. He leans his head back on the cushion and gives a lopsided smile. She chuckles.

Shuri and T'Challa soon join them. "I hate that I am not able to fix your spine when I put your new arm on," Shuri mutters.

"Shuri, I'll live through the pain," Gabrielle states calmly, not at all angry with the Princess.

"I know, you're a strong woman," Shuri teases. They all laugh, knowing it's true. They continue to joke around until they all go to bed.

Soon, however, Gabrielle wakes up again and goes to the common area in the ROR. She lets out a shaky breath as she sits down on a couch. Too many things were revealed today to more people than she would have liked.

She is so wrapped up in her thoughts that when Lily calls her name, she lets out a squeak of surprise and nearly pulls out a knife. "Bast, Lily! You scared me!"

"Sorry," the other woman apologizes. "I just... I heard you come out and wondered if you're okay."

"Did I wake you up? I'm so sorry-" Gabrielle continues to apologize to avoid the question.

"Spot," Lily says sternly. "You're avoiding the question. Answer it."

"I've got a lot on my mind," Gabrielle says eventually. She feels tears build up and quietly says, "Excuse me."

Before she can hide behind a door, Lily grabs her wrist and looks her in the eyes. She has the same look on her face as she did when it was revealed that she and Bucky had a miscarriage.

Motherly anguish.

"Oh, Spot," Lily whispers before pulling her into a hug on the couch. She slowly runs her fingers through Gabrielle's hair as she cries on her shoulder.

It's a long time Gabrielle finally takes a deep breath and hugs her legs to her chest. "Red, it's only been two months," she eventually whispers. "We've been trying our best, but..." She takes a shaky breath and shakes her head. "We were gonna have a baby."

Lily sighs, wishing she could sympathize with her old friend. "I wish I could know what you're going through."

Gabrielle shakes her head with a small, sad smile. "You don't. You already have a son. Don't wish to know what this feels like."

"I only want to know so you aren't alone," Lily says. Gabrielle hums before hugging her.

Bucky and James stare at their wives who are leaning against each other on the couch, sleeping.

James begins, "Should we wake the—"

"Fuck no." Bucky shakes his head. "I've woken Ellie up once." He shudders. "Never again."

James raises an eyebrow at the assassin before remembering the one time Sirius managed to get past the spell on the Gryffindor girls' dormitory stairs to wake up Gabrielle and Lily. He nods in agreement.

It's nearly an hour and a half later when everyone has gathered back into the Hall.

"I have four people to bring before we continue," Strange says. He opens a portal and three women and one man fall out.

"Mother!" Shuri exclaims and goes to hug Ramonda. Gabrielle snaps her head up and grins at her before also running up and hugging the woman.

"Hello to you two, too," Ramonda chuckles. Shuri babbles to her about what they are doing and the rest of the new arrivals listen in. Bucky goes up to greet M'Baku and Okoye while T'Challa greets Nakia with a kiss.

Shuri drags them all (including Bucky and Gabrielle) to where she is sitting before the movie starts.

hey yall! happy 2025! (can't believe it's '25 already, yeesh 🙄) and a merry christmas too lol.

on our way back from vacation, I watched a movie called zodiac. fantastic movie. rdj, jake gyllenhaal, mark ruffalo. I ordered the book it's based on literally ten mins after i finished it lol.

anyway, i have no idea when the first part of wakanda forever will be out... just bear with me, yeah?

so far we've had moony and gabbs feels, some internal padfoot dialogue abt gabbs, and now we have lily and gabbs feels. next is james and gabbs feels :D
