The Scouts swarmed the building's top layer, creating shadows that peeked in through the sun and made Mikasa let out a gasp.
"They're gonna fire through the windows!" Mikasa yelled to them, Kiyomi and the Azumabito mechanics rushing out of the room and down the steps in a panic, all Scouts armed with thunder spears.
"GET DOWN TO THE BASEMENT!" She yelled before the thunder spears shattered through the windows and created an explosion in the room, making Mikasa gasp as she flew off the steps and into the wall, sliding down it while orange and red flames licked the building.
Gray smoke blew out from the room, fires cackling with a new source of entertainment. She glared at the flames in thought, for it was a firefight now and every Jaegerists fighting them were now going to be ridden of their bodies ever again.
"LADY MIKASA!" Kiyomi yelled, directing her attention to them where three Jaegerists stood, pointing guns at the alive mechanics at the bottom of the steps.
She ran and jumped off the wall towards the Jaegerists, her swords sliding out in her grasp. Their guns pointed at Mikasa but before they could pull the trigger, bullets shot in their temples as Mikasa landed where their bodies once stood threateningly.
"This way, all of you!" Magath yelled, making Mikasa turn her head towards Magath, Hanji and Dymphna with Jean behind them.
"We can hunker down in the basement! If you want to stay alive, then come with me!"

They sat at the bottom steps of the basement as the Jaegerists hurled their explosive thunder spears into and out the building, fire threatening with flickers, intending to spread as smoke and dust made its way down the basement steps, their only way out so close yet so far.
"THE ONLY WAY OUT OF HERE IS THROUGH THE ENEMY! WE'LL BE OVERRUN AS SOON AS THEY REGROUP!" Kiyomi yelled.
"WE'LL BE FINE! AS LONG AS WE'RE DOWN HERE, WE'LL BE SAFE WHEN OUR REINFORCEMENTS JUMP INTO THE FRAY UP ON THE SURFACE!" Magath told them before the dust cleared out and the four a part of the alliance pointed their guns, shooting at any Scouts who made their way to be visible with thunder spears.
