The two eyes peered the binoculars, looking down at the sights below. The sight of Jaegerists in the buildings, protecting the boat away from the group trying to obtain it, some on top of the buildings with thunder spears on the ground next to their feet, just waiting. Waiting for the moment a Marleyan or a traitor of Eldia to try and steal it from them.
"I never expected Floch to take action this quickly. . ." Hanji commented, looking down at the building.
"If the Jaegerists destroy the flying boat, our plan would be dead in the water. So why haven't they done it already?" Magath questioned the sight as Dymphna looked up at the two, silently listening to them.
"Hard to say. If I had to guess, they suspect we're alive, and maybe that we're trying to stop Eren, but they're not entirely sure—" Hanji told him before turning their head towards him, "—They could blow it up in a second if they wanted to, but they can't build another one. Without the Azumabito's knowledge, they would have to start from scratch,"
"They'll wanna use it for themselves if they can, to make sure the mainland's wiped clean. Plus, there's Azumabito ships here. That might be their real objective: to capture a small fleet and the technicians to keep it afloat. But regardless. . . the Jaegerists would readily sacrifice that objective if they caught wind of us," Hanji explained as Magath turned his head towards them, actively listening.
"They'll blow the flying boat to bits the second we're spotted. We've got a few of the Nine, so our odds are better than they'd be in a straight firefight. But not good," Hanji claimed as Dymphna directed her attention to the group of Scouts, Annie and Reiner putting on ODM gear, making her hum slightly.
"True. We'll just have to make the best of it. Fighting the Founder'll be even worse," Magath added as he tucked the spyglass he was using, the two standing up from the spot but Hanji stopped and gasped lightly.
"We'd better plan to-" But Magath also spotted himself, turning his head to look at what Hanji was looking up at. And what was that?
Puffs and clouds of white steam floating up into the dark teal sky among the clouds.
But the rest didn't see that as Dymphna sat next to Falco and Gabi, really having no need to indulge in the conversation now starting amidst the Scouts.
"We have no choice but to kill 'em all with our first strike. That's the only way we can secure the flying boat. To pull this off, everyone's gotta be in sync. We need our Titan power and your firepower. Understood?" Annie questioned in a stern voice, looking at the three Eldians across her with a quirked brow.
". . . just hold on a second," Connie interrupted with an unsure expression on his face.
"What's the problem?" Annie questioned. Connie responded with a slight huff before looking away from her.
