"Paw Patrol to the lookout," Ryder announced to all of his pups. It took him an hour to realize that Brian and Jerry's news hit him like a truck...Marshall was going to compete in a worldwide tournament.
He was also one of ten pups to do it, Ryder was no captain obvious but he knew that being one of ten dogs to compete in a worldwide tournament was really hard to accomplish. Despite the clumsiness of his Dalmatian pup, Marshall was a hero to everyone in the town of Adventure Bay, Barkingburg, and a tiny bit of Adventure City.
"He's come a long way since I first met him... I hope that day doesn't haunt him still," Ryder said to himself as the elevator doors opened and the seven pups jumped out and aligned themselves in front of the boy.
"Paw Patrol ready for action Ryder sir," Chase saying his signature line.
"Hey pups, just wanted to let you guys know that this isn't a mission, but rather an announcement... a huge announcement," Ryder said as the pups began to gain curiosity.
"Ooh, what is it Ryder," Rocky asked first.
"Is it a lifetime supply of treats," Rubble asked as he licked his lips, the other pups just laughed in response as well as Ryder.
"No guys it's none of that, the big news is... there were a couple of men that came to the lookout this morning and wanted to have a talk with me and Marshall," Ryder told them
The other pups began to become ever more curious and anxious, two random guys just having a talk with Marshall and Ryder. They wanted to know all the news that the two men were saying to the leader and the Dally.
"The two men told Marshall and me that Marshall was chosen to compete in the annual firefighter dog competition," Ryder finished saying to the group.
All the other pups had their eyes opened as wide as they opened them, as well as their jaws hung low, feeling like their jaws were on the floor. Instantly after hearing the news they all ran towards Marshall and tackled him to the floor.
"Oh my gosh that's amazing Marshall," Skye told him.
"Dude this is so totally awesome, I wish I could be invited to something like that," Zuma said as he had a hint of jealousy in his voice.
"Marshall how come you never told me that you were invited to the firefighter dog competition, and I thought we were brothers," Chase said as he brotherly shoved his best friend.
Marshall let out a nervous chuckle, he wasn't a fan of a spotlight being on him. All the attention was on the Dalmatian and as much as he wanted to celebrate, he found all this attention to be embarrassing, maybe he was a little socially awkward.
"Well you guys, I wanted to tell you all but I thought I'd let Ryder tell you guys and build up the suspense," Marshall said to everyone.
"Okay pups, you guys can go now, just wanted to tell you all the exciting news," Ryder said as most of the pups left.
All the pups were now starting to leave except for one...Everest.
"Hey Marshall," She told him.
Marshall turned around and was shocked to see the Husky standing right in front of him. He began to chuckle nervously, but a small goofy grin began to show on his face.
"Oh uh h-hey Everest, what's up?"
"I can't believe that you were chosen for that competition, I knew that you were a great firefighter, but to be selected for that competition must mean that you're the best firefighter ever!"
"Well, technically there could be nine other better firefighters than me,"
"Well, even so, I still know that you are the best firefighter Marshall,"
