Sohee sat on the edge of his bed, legs crossed, his phone balanced precariously on his knee as he texted Chanyoung. He'd been restless all day, unable to shake the feeling that something big was about to happen. Seunghan had been texting him more than usual lately, sending little heart emojis and teasing him with flirty messages that made his stomach do flips.
It was thrilling, but it also made him nervous as hell. He had a secret—one he wasn't sure how Seunghan would react to. It wasn't something he could just casually bring up in conversation. It was heavy, complicated, and even though he trusted Seunghan, the fear of rejection lingered in the back of his mind.
His phone buzzed again, and this time, it was a message from Seunghan.
Seunghan: hey sohee, you free tonight?
Sohee stared at the screen, his heart racing. There was something different about this text. It felt... loaded, like Seunghan had something on his mind. He quickly typed out a response.
Sohee: yeah, what's up?
The reply came almost instantly.
Seunghan: wanna hang out? maybe watch a movie or something? my place?
Sohee's fingers hovered over the keyboard. This wasn't unusual—they hung out all the time. But this felt different. More intimate. The butterflies in his stomach went wild.
Sohee: sure, what time?
Seunghan: 8 sound good?
Sohee: see you then.
He set his phone down, staring at the wall across from him. He knew tonight could be the night things finally came to a head between them. He wasn't naïve. The flirting, the lingering touches—it all pointed to one thing. And if Seunghan made a move, if things got heated, he'd have to tell him. He couldn't hide something like that, not when it mattered so much.
At 8 PM sharp, Sohee found himself standing in front of Seunghan's apartment, his heart hammering in his chest. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door, trying to steady his nerves.
The door swung open almost immediately, revealing Seunghan in a loose T-shirt and sweatpants, his usual smile in place. "Hey, you made it," he said, stepping aside to let Sohee in.
"Yeah, wouldn't miss it," Sohee replied, trying to keep his voice steady as he walked inside. The apartment was cozy, a little messy with clothes thrown over the back of the couch and dishes piled up in the sink. It was so... Seunghan.
They settled on the couch, the TV already playing some action movie that Seunghan had picked out. Sohee barely paid attention to it, though. He was hyper-aware of how close Seunghan was sitting, their thighs brushing together, the warmth of his body seeping through their clothes.
"So, how was your day?" Seunghan asked casually, his eyes flicking to Sohee's face.
"Uh, it was fine," Sohee answered, trying to keep things normal. "Nothing special. You?"
"Same old, same old," Seunghan said with a grin. "But I was looking forward to this."
Sohee's breath hitched. "Yeah?"
"Yeah," Seunghan said, his voice dropping slightly as he leaned in, just enough that Sohee could smell the faint scent of his cologne. "I've been thinking a lot about you lately, Sohee."
Sohee's heart skipped a beat. "Oh?"
"Mhm," Seunghan hummed, his eyes locking onto Sohee's. "You ever think about me?"
