As Sonakshi held the photo album close to her chest, still overwhelmed by the emotions of their shared memories, Dev smiled knowingly. He had more in store for her, and the day was far from over.

“Sonakshi,” he said softly, “there’s something else.”

She looked up, her curiosity piqued. “More? Dev, this is already too much!”

He chuckled, taking her hand. “Trust me, you’re going to love this.”

He led her downstairs and out into the garden, where twinkling fairy lights had been strung up, transforming the space into a magical wonderland. The soft glow illuminated a beautifully set table for two, complete with candles and their favorite dishes.

Sonakshi gasped, her eyes widening in surprise. “Dev, this is—”

“Dinner under the stars,” Dev finished for her, pulling out a chair for her to sit. “I thought it would be a nice way to end the day.”

As they sat down to eat, Sonakshi couldn’t help but marvel at the effort Dev had put into making the day so special. Every detail was perfect, a reflection of how well he knew her, and how much he cared. They shared a delicious meal, reminiscing about the years gone by, their laughter mingling with the cool night air.

After dinner, as they lingered over dessert, Dev reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box. Sonakshi’s breath caught in her throat as he opened it to reveal a delicate necklace with a pendant shaped like a heart, encrusted with diamonds.

“Dev,” she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. “It’s beautiful.”

He gently took the necklace from the box and fastened it around her neck. “I wanted you to have something that symbolizes our love—something timeless, just like us.”

Sonakshi touched the pendant, feeling the weight of his love in her hands. “I don’t know what to say… You’ve done so much today, Dev. I’m overwhelmed.”

Dev smiled softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “There’s one more thing, actually.”

“Another surprise?” she asked, laughing through her tears.

He nodded, standing up and holding out his hand. “Come with me.”

She took his hand, and they walked towards the far end of the garden, where a large screen had been set up, with a projector ready to play. Sonakshi looked at Dev, puzzled.

“A movie?” she guessed.

“Not just any movie,” Dev said, a hint of excitement in his voice. “Our movie.”

As they sat down on the blanket Dev had spread out, the screen came to life with a montage of clips from their life together—home videos, moments they had captured on their phones, and even some footage from their wedding that Sonakshi hadn’t seen in years. It was a beautiful, intimate tribute to their life together, filled with laughter, love, and the little moments that had defined their relationship.

Sonakshi watched, tears streaming down her face, as the screen showed their children growing up, family holidays, and quiet moments at home. Every clip was a reminder of the love they had shared, the challenges they had faced, and the joy they had found in each other.

When the montage ended, Sonakshi turned to Dev, unable to find the words to express what she was feeling. “Dev, this… This is the most beautiful gift anyone has ever given me. I’m so lucky to have you.”

Dev wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close. “We’re lucky to have each other. I wanted today to be a celebration of everything we’ve built together, and everything that’s yet to come.”

They sat there in the garden, the cool night air wrapping around them as they held each other close. The world seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of them, surrounded by the memories of their past and the promise of their future.

As the night deepened, Dev leaned in and kissed her forehead. “Sonakshi, thank you for loving me, for standing by me all these years. I promise to keep surprising you, to keep loving you more every day.”

Sonakshi smiled, her heart full. “And I promise to cherish every surprise, every moment with you. Here’s to a lifetime of love, Dev.”

And with that, they stayed under the stars, their hands intertwined, their hearts forever connected, knowing that the best was yet to come.
