Chapter 24: Aayush's Dream Girl

The evening was calm and tranquil, the soft glow of the setting sun filtering through the curtains and casting a warm hue over the living room. Dev and Sonakshi were seated on the plush sofa, sipping tea and chatting about their day, when Aayush entered, his demeanor unusually reserved. The tension in his posture was palpable, and Sonakshi immediately sensed that something was on his mind.

“Aayush, you seem a bit off today,” Sonakshi remarked gently. “Is everything alright?”

Aayush took a deep breath, his hands nervously fidgeting with the edge of his sleeve. “Actually, there’s something I need to talk to you both about.”

Dev looked up from his tea, noticing the seriousness in Aayush’s eyes. “Sure, Aayush. What’s on your mind?”

Aayush hesitated for a moment, searching for the right words. “It’s about someone very important to me. Her name is Saanjh, and… well, she’s someone I’ve been seeing for a while now.”

Sonakshi’s eyes lit up with curiosity. “Saanjh? I don’t think we’ve met her before. What’s she like?”

Aayush’s face softened as he spoke about Saanjh. “She’s amazing, really. She’s kind, compassionate, and incredibly supportive. I feel like she understands me in a way no one else does. We’ve been together for quite some time, and… I love her.”

Dev leaned forward, his expression a mix of surprise and interest. “That’s wonderful, Aayush. It sounds like she’s very special to you. Have you two talked about the future?”

Aayush nodded, his gaze dropping to the floor. “We have. And that’s actually what makes me nervous. I want to introduce her to you, and… I want your blessing.”

Sonakshi reached out, placing a comforting hand on Aayush’s. “We’re really happy for you, Aayush. Finding someone who makes you feel that way is truly special. I’m sure she must be a remarkable person if she’s won your heart.”

Dev’s expression softened as well. “We’d love to meet her, Aayush. It’s important to us that you’re happy and that you find someone who complements your life. We trust your judgment and want to support you in this.”

Aayush’s shoulders relaxed, a look of relief washing over his face. “Thank you. I’ve been so nervous about this, but your support means everything to me. I can’t wait for you to meet her. I think you’ll like her.”

Sonakshi smiled warmly. “We’re looking forward to it. And don’t worry, Aayush. We’ll make sure she feels welcomed and loved, just like you’ve been with us all these years.”
