Few months later, Sanjana kidnapped Suhana and Dev while they were out for some shopping.

In the dimly lit warehouse, the air was thick with tension. Sanjana stood tall, her dark eyes glittering with a mix of determination and desperation. Suhana and Dev were bound and helpless, their eyes wide with fear but their spirits unbroken.

"Let her go, Sanjana," Dev demanded, his voice steady despite the turmoil raging inside him. "You don't have to do this."

Sanjana's lips curled into a bitter smile. "Oh, but I do, Dev. You see, it's the only way to get what I want." She stepped closer to Suhana, her hand tightening on the girl's shoulder. "Give me Dev, and Suhana walks free."

Suhana’s eyes darted between the two, her heart pounding. "Dev, please," she whispered, her voice trembling. "Don’t do it. Don’t give yourself up for me."

Dev's gaze softened as he looked at Suhana. "I won't," he promised, his voice a gentle reassurance. Then, turning his eyes back to Sanjana, his expression hardened. "There has to be another way. We can talk this through."

"Talk?" Sanjana laughed, a harsh sound that echoed through the empty space. "There’s no room for negotiations here. It’s simple: your life for hers."

Dev’s jaw tightened. "You know I can't agree to that. But let Suhana go, and I’ll come with you. No tricks."

Sanjana’s eyes narrowed, assessing him. "Do you think I'm a fool, Dev? I know you. You’ll find a way to escape or turn this around on me."

Dev shook his head. "I give you my word. Let Suhana go, and I’ll come with you willingly."

Suhana struggled against her bindings, her voice rising in desperation. "No, Dev! You can't trust her!"

Sanjana’s grip on Suhana tightened, and she leaned in closer to Dev. "Your word means nothing to me. You broke your promises once before."

Dev’s face fell, a flicker of regret crossing his features. "I know I did. But this is different. This is her life we’re talking about."

Sanjana’s gaze softened for a moment, a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes. "How do I know you won't betray me again?"

Dev took a deep breath, his eyes steady on hers. "Because I have more to lose now. Please, Sanjana. Let Suhana go."

There was a long, tense silence as Sanjana weighed his words. Finally, she nodded slowly. "Fine. I’ll release her. But you’re coming with me. No tricks."

Dev nodded. "Agreed."

With a swift motion, Sanjana cut Suhana’s bindings, pushing her towards Dev. Suhana stumbled into his arms, tears streaming down her face. "Dev, please, don’t do this."

He held her close for a brief moment, then gently pushed her towards the door. "Go, Suhana. Get to safety."

Suhana hesitated, her eyes pleading with him one last time. But seeing the resolve in his eyes, she turned and fled, her footsteps echoing through the warehouse.

As the door closed behind her, Sanjana stepped forward, her knife still in hand. "Your turn, Dev."

He met her gaze, unflinching. "Let’s go."

And together, they disappeared into the shadows, leaving behind the echoes of a promise and the beginning of an uncertain future
