Celeste's POV

I pulled the cover away quickly and stood up quickly. Wrong move! I covered my mouth, pursing my lips together as I felt the unbearable pain between my legs, almost making me stop breathing.

That damned Joshua. Why should he have been this gifted?

I cursed at him under my breath and grabbed my clothes one by one. Then I grabbed my bag and left his suite while walking barely.

When I thought the worst behind, I was wrong. As soon as I arrived at the lobby, everyone started looking at me. I felt so embarrassed; now I just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me. I looked down and kept walking towards the exit as quickly as possible while cursing at Joshua every time I felt a pain.

From the people's gaze, I was sure that I looked a penguin while walking. Everything was because of that damned man who tore me inside literally.

As soon as I arrived at the hotel and went to my room, I put my passport and ticket into my bag and pulled my suitcase behind me after taking a painkiller. Fortunately, I packed my suitcase yesterday before going to the nightclub. Now I had a chance to arrive at the airport in time.

I went to the metal detectors in a hurry as soon as I arrived at the airport. I left my leather Louis Vuitton tote bag on the conveyor belt. Then I took off my earrings and put them and my phone in the tray. After that, I took off my high heels and put them in the tray and crossed the detector. Suddenly, it started ringing.

"I don't have any metals on me," I commented, agitated.

Damn it!

Not now!

I will be late!

The security guard looked at me attentively and told me firmly. "Take off your ring."

"What?!" I asked, puzzled. "I don't have a rin..." I couldn't finish my sentence when I looked at my fingers and saw an engagement ring with enormous stone in the center on my ring finger.

Holy shit!

Suddenly, some scenes from last night flashed in my mind: when Joshua proposed me, when he put the ring on my finger, when we got married.

Jesus! I am freaking married. I married a stranger.

It can't get any worse. What an awful day!

What am I going to do now?

I leaned my hand against the small table next to me as I felt dizzy.

"Miss, are you okay?" the security guard asked me, concerned.

Am I okay?!

Of course not! How can I be fine when I freaking married a random guy who I have met recently? And the only things I know about him were his name and the size of his shaf...

Damn you Joshua!

I gulped, rubbing my forehead while trying to pull myself together and nodded at the security guard. Then I tried to take off the ring, but it was stuck.

Damn it!

I tried to take off in vain while my eyes welled up. After trying one more time, I gave up and informed the security guard, agitated. "It is stuck."

"May I?" he asked politely. I nodded and extended my hand towards him, trying to hold my tears back. I felt overwhelmed.

As he couldn't take off the ring, I told him anxiously. "I will miss my flight."

It looked like a nightmare. My body is aching all over. I am so exhausted. I got married to a stranger. And now I am going to miss my flight.

Perfect! Just perfect!

"Do you have any other metal objects on you? It isn't because of the ring. The detectors don't pick up the jewelry items which are made of gold, silver or platinum," he stated firmly and looked at me from head to toe. "Oh, it is because of your anklet," he commented, pointing at my anklet.

"I am sorry. I forgot about it in panic," I apologized and took off the anklet quickly.

After putting the anklet in the tray, I crossed the detector again. Fortunately, this time it didn't ring. Then I grabbed my things quickly and went to find my departure gate.

When finally, I thought everything was under control, I saw that my flight was delayed.

"Ugh!" I exclaimed angrily, clenching my fist.

I heaved a loud sigh, trying to calm down. Then I decided to buy a cup of coffee while waiting for my flight.

I winced, closing my eyes as I sat down after buying a cup of cappuccino.

Damned Joshua!

I took a few sips from my coffee and leaned my head back, closing my eyes. I noticed that I still smelt like him; it gave me a strange feeling, like I was in a cocoon.

I heaved a loud sigh and placed my cup on the seat next to me. Then I pulled my compact mirror out of my bag and looked at myself. I brushed my hair with my fingers, trying to look presentable.

My eyes widen in shock as I notice my neck. There was a hickey on the right side of my neck. I clenched my fist angrily and closed my eyes shut.

Damned Joshua!

Suddenly, my phone rang in my bag. I heaved a loud sigh and threw my compact mirror into my bag before grabbing my phone.

It was Hazel, my childhood friend, calling me on FaceTime. I hadn't seen her for ten years because my family moved abroad. My family often moved to different countries because of my father's work. My father, Edgar Marshall, was an ambassador.

When I was a child, my family moved to USA because my father became the Great Britain ambassador to the United States of America. We lived in USA for a while, and then we moved to Sweden.

My family currently lived in Italy and my father is the Great Britain ambassador to Italy. When my father informed us that we were moving to Italy, I and my mother, Antonia, got so happy because my mother was from Italy, and her family and relatives were there. I had a lot of fun with my cousins there. Then I came back to USA to study at university.

As soon as I was back, I tried to find Hazel on social media again. I had been looking for her the last few years, but I couldn't find her; besides, her family moved to another house; so I couldn't visit her either.

Fortunately, I found her on social media last year and contacted her. When I informed her that I am going to live in New York, she got excited.

I smiled warmly and picked up the call after covering the hickey on my neck with my hair. I greeted Hazel warmly as my brunette friend appeared on the screen.

"Miss Celeste Rosa Marshall, when are you coming to New York? I look forward to seeing you? Didn't you have enough fun? I missed you," she said cheerfully.

"I am at the airport now," I informed her.

"Finally!" Hazel exclaimed excitedly. "By the way, don't you look too fancy?" she asked mischievously. "Yes, you look super sexy, but please don't distract passengers." She winked at me playfully.

"I didn't have time to change my clothes," I admitted honestly; I was still in a silver mini halter neck dress with thin straps which I wore when I went to the night club last night.

"Oh... So someone keep you busy yesterday," she commented, grinning wickedly.

"No... When I came back to my room, it was late and I was tired. So I fell asleep without changing my clothes and forgot to set the alarm. When I got up, I didn't have time to change my clothes," I lied to my friend, feeling guilty. I couldn't tell her the truth when it looked like a nightmare to me.

"Are you okay? You look weird," she asked worriedly, interrupting my thoughts.

"Yes, I am just tired," I replied and forced a smile. I didn't want to worry her. "Haze, I have to hang up now. See you soon," I added when boarding started.

"Have a safe flight!" She waved at me, smiling happily.

As soon as I hung up my phone and switched off my phone, I grabbed my thing and went towards the boarding gate.

After the stewardess had greeted me politely, I gave her my passport and ticket. She took them and looked at them.

After giving me information about where was my seat, she said, giving me a friendly smile. "I wish you a good flight, Miss."

I breathed deeply, closing my eyes, leaning my head back as I sat in my seat carefully, trying not to scream in pain.

I ruffled my hair, looking through the window, and bit my lower lip as the scenes from last night flashed in my mind. Especially, the scenes from that luxurious suite. Now I understood why I was sore this much.
