Joshua's POV

Why is she screaming?

A few minutes later, Hazel rushed into the room worriedly, hearing the screams.

"Call the police, Hazel," Rosa told my sister in fear as she grabbed her towel quickly and wrapped it around her body.

"Yes, call the police," I told Hazel in an authoritative tone and turned my gaze from my sister to my wife. "What are you doing here?" I asked Rosa angrily as I rested my hands on my hips walking towards my pretty wife, looking her in the eyes.

"Don't come near me!" Rosa warned me in panic, taking a few steps backwards.

What is she playing at? Why is she acting like I can hurt her?

"Enough, guys!" my sister exclaimed as she stepped between my wife and me and tried to push me back, but I didn't move an inch, looking at Rosa in frustration. "Stop it, you are scaring her," Hazel stated firmly, pushing me back.

Why is Hazel trying to protect Rosa?

Does she know my wife? Or did Rosa tell Hazel that we are married?

"It is just the beginning," I commented bitterly, giving my wife a dirty look. "And why are you acting like that? This girl sneaked into your room," I snapped at my sister, puzzled and shook my head in disbelief.

Is she crazy?

There is a stranger in her room.

"It is you who barged into the room while I was half-naked," my wife stated furiously as she approached me, full of rage in her eyes.

Should I be crazy to think that she looks cute when she is angry?

I gave my wife an arrogant smirk and roamed her body from head to toe. "Really? Then why did you give me a quite show? Did you really think I would believe that your towel slid down by accident? What were you planning? Did you mistake the rooms? My room is upstairs," I remarked haughtily.

"How dare you!" Rosa exclaimed furiously and wanted to slap me, but I grabbed her wrist, stopping her.

I gave her a death glare, holding her wrist tightly, trying to ignore her delicious vanilla scent. "Don't dare to repeat it! Otherwise..."

"Stop it, Joshua!" Hazel demanded angrily and tried to release my wife from my grip.

"What? Is... he your brother?" Rosa asked my sister, stunned and looked at me, her mouth agape.

What is going on here?

Why are my sister and Rosa acting like they have known each other for a long time?

"Yes, he is Joshua." Hazel nodded at her and turned her gaze from her to me. "Joshua, what got into you? Are you crazy? Release Celeste's wrist now!" she dictated in irritation.

What?

Which Celeste? Don't tell me it is Hazel's childhood friend. That annoying girl.

"Celeste?" I muttered, dumbfounded and looked at my wife.

Hazel breathed deeply, bored and commented, looking at me. "Yes, didn't you recognize her? She is my best friend, not a burglar."

I released Rosa's... Celeste's wrist quickly and ran my hand through my hair, lost in his thoughts, looking at my wife attentively. If you gave attention to find the similarities, you could notice her resemblance to that little girl.

Shit! How blind I was! How couldn't I notice it? The same eyes and silky hair which always reminded me of the Sun.

So she lied to me when she told me her name was Rosa!

Wait a minute! Did she know who I was when she saw me at that nightclub?

Did she take me for a fool?!

Weren't you a fool, Joshua? You fucking got into her trap!

Did she want to take revenge because I often teased her when we were children?

No, it is impossible. I couldn't marry Celeste!
How dare she mess up with me!

Probably, she was laughing behind my back while I was looking for her everywhere, What a bitch!

However, why did she look shocked when Hazel told her I am her brother? But if they get in touch again, she must see my photo; I am sure Hazel has already bombarded her with our photos.

"I... I have to leave," I mumbled, dazed and looked at Celeste before rushing out of the room.

As soon as I walked into my bedroom and locked the door behind me, I went to the walk-in closed in quick steps and opened the safe. I took a deep breath and grabbed the marriage certificate.

"Idiot!" I exclaimed, irritated as I read my wife's full name for the first time.

Celeste Rosa Marshall.

"At least, her second name was Rosa. So she told me a half-lie."

I should have looked at her name before.

Or I should have listened to what the officiant was saying.

During the marriage we couldn't take our hands off each other and we were just thinking to stay alone in my suite as soon as possible; so no one gave proper attention to what the priest was saying. He even got angry at us because of it.

I cursed under my breath and threw the marriage certificate into the safe angrily. Then I closed the safe and started pacing back and forth in the walk-in closet, running my hands through my hair, thinking.

I have to talk to Celeste! But if I go to Hazel's room to talk to Celeste, I can't explain to my sister what is going on. Especially after what happened there a few minutes ago. My sister protects her like a mother hen protects her chicks. So I have to catch her alone.

I have to catch her tomorrow before she runs away again.

I heaved a loud sigh and went to bed. It would be better if I rest; maybe it would help me to calm down as well.

I tossed and turned in my bed without managing to fall asleep. The only thing I was thinking about right now was my wife who was sleeping peacefully in my sister's room.

Celeste!

You still annoy me despite the fact we are adults now, not children.

***

I yawned, stretching out as I woke up the following morning. When I fell asleep the Sun was rising, lightening the room slightly.

"Celeste!" I exclaimed and got up quickly. I had to catch her.

After putting on my clothes, I went downstairs. I didn't know why, but my heart was pounding.

When I walked into the living room, my sister was having breakfast alone.

Where is Celeste?

Is she still sleeping?

If I ask Hazel about Celeste, she will be suspicious. It will be better if I wait for my sister mention about her. And as much as I know my sister, she will definitely talk about her friend, especially after last night.

"You have to apologize to Celeste," Hazel stated firmly as soon as she saw me.

"Good morning to you too," I said in a sardonic tone as I sat down on the chair and poured some coffee into my cup.

"Joshua!"

I frowned, annoyed. "Fine, I will talk to her. Where is she?"

"She left early. Probably, she didn't want to see your face," my sister replied bitterly.

I gave Hazel a dirty look and mumbled under my breath. "Sneaking out is her favorite thing." I heaved a loud sigh and told my sister. "Fine, I will talk to her later."

"It is good because you two work together," she said, satisfied.

We work together?!

What the hell is she talking about?

I gave Hazel a confused look.

As I looked at her in confusion, she informed me calmly. "She works in the company. The company's new lawyer."

My eyes widened in shock. "What?"

No, it can't be possible.

Now I was sure that Celeste has something in her mind. There are too many coincidences.

But what has she planned?

"What is going on with you? Is there something else between you two?" my sister asked, giving me a suspicious look, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Nothing," I muttered and breathed deeply. "Fine, I will talk to her in the company tomorrow."

I will show your friend who she thinks she is fucking with!

She will regret playing games with me!

"Don't scare her again," my sister warned, interrupting my thoughts.

I gritted my teeth and gave my sister a dirty look. "I am not a caveman."

But I hold grudges.

Celeste will beg me to forgive her.

Hazel raised her eyebrow and gave me a sarcastic look. "Really?!"

"Hazel!" I warned her and rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"What? Because of you, she almost fainted," my sister informed me angrily.

"What? Is she fine?" I asked, concerned.

"Are you worried now? You should have thought about it before," Hazel stated bitterly.

"Hazel!" I breathed deeply and cleared my throat. "Umm... she changed a lot. I couldn't recognize her. So I misunderstood everything. Did she come back permanently?" I resumed uneasily.

"Why do you ask? Do you like her? You were looking at her like you were devouring her with your eyes. Who knows what you tried to do to her making her scream?!" Hazel commented mischievously as she raised her eyebrow.
