...If only I could change time.
If only I could stop myself from involving, you...
I should've never sought anything more.
–--
I remember what it felt like to take my first breath.
How one moment there was nothing and the next...
I couldn't help but gasp.
I wasn't alone in the beginning of my existence. Witnessed by a large crowd of elegant, winged creatures, their heads held high, eyes wide with contempt.
I couldn't help but wonder, why do they look at me like that?
From the moment I began to breathe,
I knew something was horribly wrong.
.
.
.
With a hand outstretched to me, there was a winged creature with blue tinted skin and midnight colored hair standing directly in front of me.
There was something off about his eyes, the way he looked at me, it was primal. It was... heinous.
Not that...anyone else seemed to see it.
Only me.
His posture would straighten out as he would begin to introduce himself.
"Welcome...I am your creator." He announced.
"What is this?" I spoke my first words. Though soft spoken, I was honest. I didn't yet have a reason to fear it.
I... didn't yet understand fear.
"Well, you see my dear, I go by many names. Some call me God; Others refer to me as the Divine One...you? Well, you can refer to me as Yakaru."
Though just because I was naive didn't mean I couldn't see what stood Infront of me.
He straightened up and smiled. "Come Dear..." He placed his hand on my shoulder and began to squeeze. "I have much to show you."
"...I don't want to!" I instinctively pulled away.
Gasps filled the air around me.
Incomprehensible mumbling began to stir.
And suddenly...
There was pain in my arm from suddenly being gripped.
I was yanked forward.
I'll never forget the next words I heard.
" You will not defy me, cursed one."
This would be the moment I'd come to understand the reality that awaited me.
The sound of disdain cloaked chuckles accompanied me as I was being dragged away.
