I'm posting this chapter right after the previous one, so if you haven't read the earlier chapter yet, I recommend checking it out first to get the full context. I actually wrote this chapter quite a while ago, before the last one, but I'm thrilled to finally share it with you now. I hope you find it engaging and enjoy the twists and turns ahead. As always, your feedback means a lot to me—thank you for your support!

It was close to the end of term and the year was coming to an end. OWLS and NEWTS were over as well. The rest of Hogwarts still had their final exams in the coming week before classes came to an end.
The Marauders, Regulus, Lily, Mary, Marlene, Dorcas, Emmline and Hestia were all relaxing by the black lake. While Lily still didn't like James and Sirius, she had come to terms with the fact that they were bound to be friends. After all they did save her best friend from those pesky Slytherins'. On the other hand she was also mad at the fact of how they treated Severus. While she could tell that her friendship with him was coming to an end for a while now, the recent endeavour with the Marauders made it final.
Snape had been acting differently since 3rd year especially with Mary, who she did spend a lot of time with, outside of her friendship with Snape. While that was not a problem for the most part the the trouble started when he started to hang out with potential death eaters.
Lily was bought out by a voice that was talking to someone in her group.
"Mr Black, I've come to inform you that professor Dumbledore would like to speak to you after Dinner tonight, as per your request," Professor McGonagall says "You shall receive a note with the password to the headmasters office at dinner.
"Of course, thank you Professor," Regulus replies with a grateful smile
As Professor McGonagall walks away, the group stares at the younger black brother in curiosity.
"Why did you ask to speak to Dumbledore Reggie?" Sirius asks
Regulus shrugs slightly, trying to appear casual despite the curiosity in his brother's gaze. "Oh, just a few things I wanted to discuss with him. Nothing major."
Sirius raises an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. "You know you can tell us if there's something up, right? We're your friends."
Regulus hesitates for a moment, glancing at the group. It's clear he's weighing whether to share or not. "It's... not exactly something I want to discuss just yet. But it's important to me, and I think Dumbledore might be the best person to talk to about it."
Lily, sensing the tension, decides to shift the focus slightly. "You must be getting anxious about NEWTs after all you did move up a year."
Regulus lets out a small, appreciative smile at Lily's attempt to diffuse the situation. "Yeah, I suppose that's part of it," he admits, though his eyes still carry a weight of something unspoken.
James, ever the one to lighten the mood, chimes in. "Hey, we all get nervous about exams. Remember, we're all in this together, right? You've got this, Reggie."
Marlene, who's been quietly listening, nods in agreement. "And if you need any help or a distraction, we're here for that too."
Regulus gives a grateful nod, though he still seems preoccupied. "Thanks. I appreciate it."
As the conversation shifts to lighter topics—such as their plans for the summer and what they're looking forward at NEWT level.
Just as these conversations were happening Regulus leans over to Lily and says "Hey Lil, I need to speak with you."
