"what do you think nana. was I being too unreasonable?" she questioned, swinging her feet in deep thought while her body moved up and down like a see-saw.

jaemin groaned with every push. pumping his triceps to lift his weight, along with yubin's, who was seated upon his back and unphased by the movement.

after realising that it was impossible to keep anything from her best friend, she spilt every detail to him, from her father's offer to the argument with yangyang.

"I mean, yangs isn't wrong. It sounds like a fun competition, and the money sounds great." she sighed to herself. "how I need the money... working at Love Talk Cafe is fun, but I don't have the time or energy."

jaemin remained silent, allowing the girl to continue the conversation by herself.

"but i was wrong to say that to yangyang. i can't believe i said that to him i feel so horrible."

the girl yapped away upon Jaemin's back, acting as a weight to aid his intense workout routine.

"but i don't want to do the project for my father. i can't stand him. he wants to pretend i don't exist until now for some reason. he just wants that diversity merit. he thinks i'll be fine just because he has money. money doesn't solve all problems! maybe 99% of it, though." she deliberated.

her mind was all over the place, unable to come to a definite conclusion. Money was tight right now, but working for her father would fix that. However, that meant abandoning her morals and loyalties to her family to work with the devil. despite her confusing thoughts, she knew one thing for sure.

"I should apologise to yangs, right?"

jaemin's room door abruptly opened, revealing the confused renjun watching yubin perch upon her friend's back as he easily accomplished push-ups. His eyebrows were tightly knitted as he side-eyed his own homies.

"what are you.."

"hey, renjun, get on my back. You're pretty light, too." the protein boy ushered.

Reluctantly, he shook his head, grimacing. "no, I'm good." he then shifted his focus to the conflicted girl.

"yubin, you good?"

"Yeah, Yangs and I had a small disagreement on Thursday. i'm just trying to talk it out with nana. he's a good therapist."

"54." jaemin muttered.

renjun frowned upon the news, his head turning slightly. "you had lunch with yangs on Thursday?"

"it was only to repay my tutoring favours! it's not like it was romantic or anything," She said curtly, attempting to squash any suspicions, only to make things sound even stranger.

"you didn't have lunch with maya?"

"no, why?" yubin blinked.

renjun felt a sickening feeling growing in his stomach. he shook off the feeling, faking a smile. "no reason."
