Charu nodded her head and said still in tears, "I agree that she should get the required punishment.  But I'm afraid that everyone will think that she did that on my command.  Already nobody is respecting me here and if this blame came upon me then I cannot survive here".  Dakshesh kissed her forehead and said, "Don't worry.  Soon this testing time will pass and we three will live happily".

At night, Agni met Samrat in his study chamber and said, "I know that we don't have proofs but I suspect it is Charusheela who is helping the Asuras, under their possession.  Her maid getting caught while trying to steal the sword, is the added evidence that she is involved".  Samrat frowned as he was in a dilemma as now the situation is moving in a worse direction, where he might have to choose one among his grandsons.

Finally Samrat sighed and said, "I will ask the guards to arrest her in her chamber itself with some maids watching over her every moment, so that she doesn't use the dark powers to increase the strength of Asuras".  Agni denied and said, "No.  Let her be".  Seeing Samrat's confused look, he explained, "If we arrest her from using her powers then the Asuras powers will not grow.  And if their powers don't grow then they will not be released from the forbidden gate".

Samrat asked, "Why do you want them to be released?".  "Because then only they can be destroyed forever", Meghnath entered the study while listening their conversation.  Agni nodded his head in affirmation and Samrat thought about it and agreed with them but warned, "Be careful of what you are setting a trap for.  You might never know when you get trapped yourself".

Meghnath retreated back to his chamber seeing Agni still standing in the study, reluctant to leave.  Once they were alone, Agneya asked, "Since the goal for which I came here, is approaching near, wouldn't you explain the hidden reason behind abandoning my mother?  Apart from the reason that you didn't want to attract the attention of Asuras and their spawns".

Samrat was silent for a moment and took a deep breath before saying, "Answer my question first.  What is the significance of the holy book pf Pranyakta present in the court room".  Agni remembered his lessons from the Academy and said, "It is the rule book which consists of certain strict rules and regulations, which are to be followed by every person present in this realm, including the King".

Samrat nodded and said, "Correct.  There was a rule in the book which stated that once your soulmate has been marked by you, then whatever may come but they will remain soulmates forever.  But when we came to know that Rashmi was marked by you for the second time, I was shocked and confused".  Agneya was listening keenly although he was steering away from the main question.

Samrat continued, "Then I went to check the holy book to see how it was possible to change soulmate.  And I was surprised to find the rule in it's modified form.  It automatically changed from soulmate forever to removing the mark and find another soulmate if necessary".  Agni asked, "What does it have to do with my mother?".

Samrat said, "Because the book has a rule that if someone from our realm is ousted or became mortal due to any other reason then there shall be no further relationship with them thereafter".  Agni said in a surprised tone, "So you abandoned your month old daughter, just because a book told you to do so ".

Agni felt it ridiculous to even hear it and was at a loss of words to express how he felt right now.  Samrat replied with a solemn look, "Agneya, You have been trained to become a King.  Tell me if the training didn't include the fact that the King should uphold the values of the Kingdom and it's people before his own personal reasons?  As a King, I couldn't go against the very book which is the soul of our realm".
