Agneya - The Unknown King

Chapter 28 - Decision

Agneya stood up from his position followed by all others present in the arena while a shocked Acharya announced that Rashmi has won the fight.  Samrat looked at Agneya and then the weakened Rashmi who was still kneeling on the ground and also the five forces which are still keeping the opponents down.  Agneya walked to the centre of the arena and picked up Rashmi in his arms, which effectively controlled the five forces to retreat back.  Agni went out of the arena.

Soon, Agni opened the portal and brought her to her chamber in the academy residence and laid her down on the bed.  Dakini asked in a panic stricken voice, "Yuvraj!  What happened to Rajkumari Rashmi?".  She touched Rashmi's forehead to check her temperature and then Agneya said, "She is over exhausted due to the use of her powers.  Let her rest".  She nodded at him and proceeded to remove Rashmi's jewellery.

Back in the arena, Samrat announced the end of the competition and left the place and reached the chamber in Academy where the Annual meet was held.  All the other Royal families reached there as well, leaving the common people to relish on the new gossip of Yuvraj and his supposed Soulmate. 

Dakshesh and charu stood in a corner of the Chamber where all other Royal families were present and Samrat was deep in thoughts.  Charu and Rashmi's father asked in a confused manner, "Samrat, what is happening here?  I don't understand how Rashmi was protected by those powers.  This is impossible".  Samragyi was frustrated by her husband's silence and then asked, "Why are you silent Samrat?".

Samrat finally yelled at her, "What else do you want me to do, Samragyi? Everyone of you saw what happened there along with me.  Now everyone should have realised that Rashmi is Agneya's soulmate because only he has all 5 powers in this whole realm apart from me.  And just like all of you, even I'm not able to understand, how Rashmi could be his soulmate when she was initially marked by Dakshesh".

Samrat looked at Dakshesh and just shook his head in disappointment that he had missed a great woman.  On the other hand, Samrat was sure that Rashmi is a perfect match for Agneya and has all the qualities for the future Queen, which was the main reason why he wanted to somehow bring her to the Palace as Dakshesh's wife.  Now he is relieved on that part but confused on how to give an explanation on Rashmi being marked twice, which had never happened before.

Samrat told all of them, "Whatever it is, one thing is sure that Rashmi is Yuvraj Agneya's soulmate.  Whether anyone could accept it or not, she will enter the palace tomorrow as the Yuvrani of Pranyakta as soon as she recovers, even before Dakshesh's secondary wife could enter the palace.  What I can infer from this is, Our Gods have brought Agneya to this realm for her and the removed mark is gone forever".  He looked at Dakshesh while saying the last line.

Dakshesh looked down, not able to meet his grandfather's gaze and charu held his hand in a tight grip, in a comforting gesture.  All other Royal families left the academy towards their own Kingdoms, not before meeting their children who were hurt during the fight.  Now the only people in the chamber were Samrat, Samragyi, Dakshesh, Charusheela and her parents .  Meghnath and his wife had not attended the ceremony as their child was sick and Meghnath had to take in charge of the works left behind.

Charu's father told Samrat, "Shall we wait till tomorrow Samrat?  Both of our daughters will be entering the Palace tomorrow.  We don't know when will we be able to meet them again".  Samrat nodded at him and asked them to take one of the guest chambers present in the Academy Residence.

Later Samrat went to meet Agneya in his chamber but couldn't find him for sometime, so he waited.  After sometime, Agni entered his chamber through a portal and saw Samrat waiting for him.  He didn't beat around the bush and said directly, "I know that you would be shocked by today's events but I'm not.  Because Rashmi and I knew that we are soulmates due to her mark.  The reason why I didn't tell anyone was because she didn't want it to be public before we were clear about what we want from eachother".

Samrat went near him and said with a sigh, "First of all, I want to apologize for warning you to stay away from her.  I didn't know about this and secondly, I'm happy that you got your soulmate here".  Both of them were silent for a minute and then Samrat continued, "Tomorrow Rashmi will enter the Palace as your primary wife, before Charusheela enter the palace as Dakshesh's secondary wife".

Announcing his decision, Samrat was about to leave when Agneya said, "No".  Samrat looked at him in confusion and Agni clarified, "Rashmi will not enter the Palace, as my primary wife".  Samrat frowned and was about to ask him the reason when Agni said, "She will enter the palace as my only wife, My Yuvrani".  Samrat didn't argue further as he knew the practice in Rakshatra or lets say the practice which was being followed by his own son-in-law Abhyuday and silently left the place.

On the other side, in Charusheela's chamber, Dakshesh was sitting with his hands covering his face and thought about his future whether he will have any other soulmate or not and if not, then how will he have a powerful child as he knew that his and Sheela's child will not have all his powers.  Charu, although having her own internal conflict about executing her plans faster as she couldn't affort to have Rashmi and Agneya's child added up as an additional obstacle in her path, tried to comfort Dakshesh.

Seeing Rashmi in his chamber in the palace, Agneya asked, "Why are you present in my chamber?  Didn't they give you a seperate chamber?".  Rashmi looked down nervously and replied while not meeting his eyes, "I will be staying with you, in your chamber hereafter".
