NAOMI LAID IN BED LATER THAT NIGHT, with her MacBook across her legs, looking over a few cases she had. It didn't matter that she was out of town — she still had clients that needed her attention.

After the dinner party had ended, Miguel and her FaceTimed their children, making sure everything was okay with them and with Emily before the couple went their separate ways for a little bit. Naomi working on her cases while Miguel spent some time in the office talking with Devante.

The Teller woman wasn't happy when the older man showed up in Charming with a smug smile on his face and fake greetings for Naomi. It wasn't a secret that she wasn't very fond of the long time family friend to The Galindo's. It also wasn't a secret that he wasn't very fond of Naomi.

They didn't trust each other, the older man even speaking his mind to Miguel, but her husband quickly threatened the man if he ever spoke poorly of his wife again. Instead of speaking poorly of the woman, Devante now showered her with a fake sweetness that made her sick to her stomach.

A deep sigh left her lips as she rolled her neck to the side, small pops entering her ears as the bones in her neck cracked, letting a small relief from the aching in it. It had been a good night — a nice night minus Naomi's little run in either Juice, but felt good to be back in Charming.

It baffled Naomi a bit about how good it felt to be back in Charming. It almost made her miss the small town —almost. She was certain the façade of being back would wear off soon and she would be back to wishing she never came at all.

The blonde sent one last email before closing her MacBook and placing it on the bedside table next to her before making her way towards the bathroom.

Naomi stood in front of the mirror, staring at her reflection for a moment, dissecting her appearance. The dark bags under her blue eyes now showing due to washing her makeup off earlier, her face wore its exhaustion like one of the many designer sunglasses she wore. It was obvious that the death of Luann and coming back to her hometown has taken a toll on her—and she still had the funeral to attend.

The Galindo woman shook her head before taking off her jewelry and placing it neatly on top of the marble sink and exiting the bathroom, smiling as she entered the bedroom to see her husband getting undressed.

"Everything alright?" Naomi was curious about why Devante had showed up. Of course he was like Miguel's right hand man besides Nestor, but she didn't see why he needed to be here during a family matter.

A smile formed on Miguel's lips as he stared at Naomi. "Everything is alright, mi amor. Devante just wanted to show his support." Miguel walked towards the blonde, pulling her into a tight embrace as he placed a kiss on her forehead.

Miguel Galindo loved his wife so much. He would do anything for Naomi—even leaving behind the cartel life if she asked.

A small snort of laughter left her lips at Miguel's words. She did not believe Devante for one second. "I'm not sure I believe his reason for coming here. I know he and I have our issues, but I am respectful towards him because of your long relationship, but that man does not care for me."

Naomi didn't think Miguel was stupid when it came to Devante and his scheming but he could be a bit blind to the older man. Miguel had found a father figure in him after the death of his father, and sometimes that blinded the Galindo man.

A smile formed on Miguel's lips at how passionate his wife was for him and their lives. She had always been a feisty woman and that was one of the many reasons he loved her so deeply.

"Don't let his presence here bother you, amor. I have a few things I'm looking into." He assured his wife, chuckling softly as he noticed the curious look cross Naomi's face.

He knew Naomi thought he could be a bit blind when it came to his relationship with the older man, but he wasn't. He had to do things the right way before getting rid of Devante. Miguel needed proof — he couldn't just act on a feeling.

"Oh?" Naomi raised a curious eyebrow at her husband. Of course she wanted to know more, but she knew right now Miguel wouldn't tell her until he knew more.

"Yes." He nodded before placing a hard kiss on her full lips.

Naomi moaned into her husband's mouth, feeling the smirk form on his lips as he kissed her with more passion. There was a reason why Miguel and her had so many children — they couldn't keep their hands off of each other.

"I love you." Miguel stated in between kissing Naomi's lips.

"I love you too." The blonde smiled as she pulled the white t-shirt he was wearing over his head.

Naomi led Miguel to the bed, pushing him softly down on the mattress before straddling his legs.

"You're going to be the death of me, Naomi." He groaned, placing his hands tightly on her hips.

"Good." She smirked, placing soft kisses on his neck.

NAOMI STARED AT HERSELF IN THE MIRROR, the black dress she had on clung to her body like a second skin. It felt too tight, but it was the only one she had packed.

A sigh left her lips as she pulled her golden blonde hair into a high ponytail. She didn't want to do this today—or any day really. They weren't burying Luann today, but it was the first day of her wake.

Naomi hated wakes more than the actual funeral. She hated staring at the person she loved with their glossy makeup and fake smile on their face. She would stare too hard at the body waiting for the person lying there to wake up.

A loud knock on the door pulled the blonde from her thoughts. Curious thoughts crept into her mind as more loud knocking came from the door. Miguel had gone out with Jax to help her brother with a situation, maybe he had forgotten his key.

"I'm coming." Naomi yelled as she hurried her way towards the door, her black heels clicking against the wood floor.

"Mom?" Naomi stood there in shock. She knew Gemma would find out she was here eventually, but she thought she had until later today to face her mother.

"Welcome back, princess."
