Chapter 1 (D1)

Some info about Ben's older sister. Her name is Misty, but she goes by M (it's her nickname), she is a year older than Ben, so in the first movie she will be 16 almost 17. Misty can be protective of Ben at times but she will be stern with him when needed. I will be putting pictures of the outfits she wears, mostly the formal events. The story will be in 3rd person. She has no love interest in this movie, she will in the next two.

Misty was currently being fitted for a dress for her coronation, her younger brother, Ben was sitting in a chair near by. Belle and Adam were watching their daughter proudly. Misty sighs as she moves a piece of her hair out of her face.  Adam looks at his daughter in disbelief and sighs "I can't believe you are going to be crowned queen next month, you are just a baby!" He says gesturing to her. Misty rolls her eyes as Ben lets out a chuckle.

Belle places a hand on her husband's shoulder "She is turning 17, dear." She says softly. Misty was indeed turning 17, in two months time. She was the oldest out of the her and Ben, so she was being crowned queen of Auradon. Ben didn't really mind, he felt like it was too much for him to take on that role. He was happy to see his sister become queen, he felt like she was the perfect fit. She was kind, understanding, strong minded, and assertive.

"17 is far too young to be crowned queen! I didn't make a good decision until I was 42." He said. Ben looked at his parents "Pops, didn't you marry mom when you were 28? Are you saying that, that was a bad idea" He asked. Adam looked at him with a surprised look. Misty snorted in response. Adam glared at her and she turned away from him, giggling slightly. Adam looked at his wife "I mean, it was either you or a tea pot" He smirked. At that Misty and Ben laughed. Belle playfully hits his chest, Adam laughed "Kidding"

After a bit of silence Misty sighs and steps off the platform holding up the fabric of her gold dress "Mom, Dad I have chosen my first proclamation, after some consideration and even getting Ben's opinion on the matter. I have decided that the children of the Isle of the Lost should have a chance...to come to Auradon." Misty says cautiously. Adam and Belle look at her shocked "Sweetheart, what made you choose this as your first proclamation?" Adam asks adjusting his glasses on his face. "Dad every time I look out a window and see the Isle, all I can think about how those kids shouldn't have to pay the price for their parent's actions. If you are worried about me sending all of the kids here at once, we will start with a few, the ones who need the most help. I already chosen them" She says trying to convince them that this was a good idea.

Adam sighs and pinched the bridge of his nose "and who are their parents?" Misty looks at Ben for support and he gives her a nod and a thumbs up. She turns back to her parents "Curella De Vil, Jafar, the evil queen, and... Maleficent." She says confidently. Her parents looked at her mortified "Maleficent! She is the worst villain in the land!" Adam shouts. "Dad hear her out" Ben says, trying to help Misty mediate the situation. "No, I won't hear it from either of you, they are guilty of unspeakable acts!" He shouts.

Misty furrows her eyebrows "Dad, those were their parents, their kids are innocent! They deserve a second chance, a chance at a better life. Mom gave you a second chance." She says gesturing to Belle. Adam sighs and looks at his wife. Belle looks back at him with a thin smile "she is right, I gave you a second chance, they deserve one too. I'm with Misty." Belle says. Misty smiles and her mom and she sighs in relief that she has at least one of her parents on board. Adam looks at all of them and sighs "I suppose their children are innocent. Ok I agree, I trust you are making a responsible choice" He says. Misty smiles "thank you." "I just hope I won't regret letting this proclamation go through." Adam says looking at her sternly. Misty looks at him confidently "You won't, I promise."

After a bit of silence Misty stands back on the platform to get more adjustments on her dress. After a bit Belle speaks "Well, well done, shall we" she says gesturing for her husband to head out of the room. They soon leave the room bidding their children a goodbye.

Misty lets out a sigh in relief and looks at her brother "See I told you it will go fine" Ben says sitting back in his chair putting his arms behind his head. She raises her eyebrow at him "if that is your definition of 'fine' I'm glad you aren't becoming king." Ben gave her an offended look "for your information, I feel like I would be a good king" he says matter of factly. Misty chuckles and turns to look outside at the Isle of the Lost, her smile falters a bit. "I hope I made the right choice, giving those kids a chance." She sighs. Ben looks at her "M I know it's a good idea, you want to know why?" He asked sitting up straight. Misty looks at him "why, oh great wise one" she joked while smiling.

Ben rolls his eyes and stands up and stands in front of her, he places his hands on her shoulders. "It's a good idea, because it came from you." He smiled at his sister. She looks up at him with a confused expression "ok when did you become sentimental and deep." She asked confused. Ben laughed "from you, I guess, I spend to much time with you that you rubbed off on me" he shrugged.

"But I mean what I said. M, you are one of the most responsible people I know, you don't make decisions until you you've done everything to know more about it,and have thought about it thoroughly. You are smart, if you think bringing those kids to Auradon, I'm with you. I was when you first asked me about my opinion on it." He says genuinely. Misty looks at him and smiles "Thanks Ben." She lightly punches his shoulder. Ben chuckles "Hey, that's what brothers are for." He shrugged "I'm going to head to tourney practice, see you at lunch sis." Ben says walking out of the room. "Bye Ben, see you at lunch." After the door closed she sighs and looks back outside at the Isle.

"I really hope you're right, Ben. I just hope I can keep my promise." she whispered to herself.
