Ishan's pov:-
It was another monotonous boring day for me.
I walked outside after locking the main door of my house with my cane gripped in my one hand.
I slowly turned to my left to head to my destination.
I have memorized the way so it's a piece of cake for me now.
I walked forward with my cane touching the ground and making light noises.
I am going to collect my guitar I sent in the instrument shop for its string repairing today.
I could have gotten it delivered to my house but decided to walk and get some fresh air.
I just know that there are people who must be side eyeing me right now on the road. Well Fuck 'em!
I am not insecure of my disability anymore.
It is what it is.
I can't just cast a spell and get my eyesight back.
People always asks me questions like- Do you not get lost on your way?
Or how do you manage to keep track of all the routes?
But the thing is that I have been living in this town for almost my whole life.
That's why I am familiar with all the routes.
In the start it was obviously hard and I used to get lost very often but gradually it became alright.
I also have some lovely neighbours who help me a lot by sharing food so I don't have to struggle to make it by myself.
They also help me in managing the cleanliness of my house.
So I don't feel lonely now because I have made peace with myself.
I pulled up my hand to touch the familiar walls of my neighbour's house and smiled slightly.
I kept walking and opened the lid of my tactile watch to check the time.
As my fingers tips felt the minute and hour indicators I knew that it's 12:20 right now.
I closed the lid of my watch and kept focusing on my walk while feeling the breezy air on my skin.
It feels great going out for walk sometimes.
My peaceful walk was interrupted by a person who suddenly bumped into me making me fall down in an instant.
I hissed in pain as my knuckles roughly brushed with the coarse road causing my skin to burn.
"Abe andha hai Kiya?!"
I heard the person shout at me while I was desperately searching for my cane which slipped from my hand.
I hate it when it happens.
"Ha kyo? Apko dikhai nahi diya."
I calmly said not wanting to engage myself in a quarrel to ruin my mood for the whole day.
It's an everyday thing for me.
I sighed tiredly as the long awkward silence engulfed us.
I also hate it when people become silent because of pity.
I felt a long rod like thing near my hand and knew that it was my cane.
I picked it up and tried to get up but slipped a little and feel on my knees again.
Fuck! Why does this always happen to me?
