Shubman's pov:-
I politely shaked hands with Ishan who was still skeptical about my offer regarding the work.
"Be ready at sharp 8:30 am. Don't be late for tomorrow or else I'll drag you out of the house."
I took a step forward to exit the house and jokingly said after turning around to face him.
"I haven't even agreed yet. I'll check it out first tomorrow."
Ishan stated while carefully stepping forward and touching the walls with his hands.
"Ofcourse! It's The Shubman Gill's promise! You will definitely love it."
I grabbed Ishan's pinky finger and locked it with mine to make a pinky promise.
He let out a small chuckle at the action and taunted.
"What are you like 4?"
"More like a 10"
I said proudly and saw him rolling his eyes.
"Out of 100."
Ouch! That hurts!
He further continued our conversation while I was trying to find our visiting card.
I pulled out the visiting card of our restaurant but stopped as the realization of him being blind hit me.
My smile dropped instantly, I pouted sadly and placed it back in my pocket before saying.
"I'll get going then. See!-Meet you tomorrow Ishan."
I said after stepping back awkwardly before accidently bumping my leg into something.
"Careful! There are flower pots here."
I checked back and realized that it's actually a small flower pot. Thank God it's not broken!
But how does he know?
I widened my eyes in shock as he slowly kneeled down to find it.
"My neighbour loves plants that's why he sometimes bring me flower pots. Eventhough I can't take care of even myself."
I nodded my head at his explanation while watching him pick it up and placing it a little backward before I could have helped him.
How long he has been blind? I mean he looks skilled enough to perform complex tasks on his own.
I can't help but lose myself in my thoughts whenever I think of him.
So much was going on in my head.
How did he lose his eyesight? And how come no one is at home to take care of him? Does he live alone?
"Are you still here?....Shubman?"
Ishan asked after getting up and dusting his hands.
"Yes"
I answered lightly without shifting my gaze from him as he extended his hand forward trying to find me.
I decided not to ask him questions that could invade his personal space and choose to stay silent.
Not gonna lie, I felt pity for him.
"Goodbye Ishan."
Why does it feels like a separation?
I bid my final goodbye after placing my hand in his small feather like hand and shaking it.
I could see a small smile which formed on his lips almost matching my own.
"We are partners now."
I stated after shaking hands with him and watching him nod slowly before turning around.
