Caily's POV 
It's  a week since Maya and i talked and she hasn't been coming to school i wonder wassup with her and my dear brother he's been giving me a cold shoulder asking about Maya.So today is a saturday and i really hope she's home because she has a lot of explaining to do.I asked Cain to take me there and guess what he agreed without us arguing about it so i got ready and went to his room and opened the door widely and found him and Mia doing the DEED eowh 🤢disgusting so i quickly closed the door and ran downstairs .....and switched on the tv and opened the news channel and to my horror MAYA'S HOUSE WAS ROBBED AND SHE WAS SHOT AND SHE IS HOSPITALISED AT ******** PRIVATE HOSPITAL, my knees went weak and tears welled up my eyes , i couldn't believe it .I sat down crying my lungs out and Cain came running downstairs with Mia
Cain; bbe are u ohk ??? What happened??
me; [crying, i couldnt talk so he held me tight as i let out a heart wrenching cry ,he wiped my tears and i was only left with hiccups and Mia brought a bottle of water i drank it and calmed down]
Cain; bbe wht happened ??
me; they shot her Cain....[ i cried again]
Cain; who??
me; Maya
Cain; what??? is she fine??
Mia; bbe why worry bout her she's nothing she......
Cain; not now Mia......what you gon do now bbe
me;[talking in between sobs] llet's ggo to her place
Cain; ohk...[ he helped me stand up and we went to the car and drove there and we met the older version of Maya who i assume was her mom and dad so we drove in and went straight to them they were arguing about putting more security and maya's dad was talking about how broke the robbers left him , Cain was looking down all this time i could sense trouble ]
Me; ma'm ,,sir good morning
Mrs Elanor; hello baby
me; Umh...... my name is Caily and this is my brother Cain .....we here to check up on Maya
Mrs Elanor; oooh  you are the friend Maya said she was going to sleep over at??
me; yes ma'm ...is she back home ,it's been a week and she hasn't come to school and i saw the news this morning , 
Mrs Elanor ; she's still at the hospital but she'll be discharged today 
me; ohk ma'm shall i wait for her or come later??
Mrs Elanor ; lemme call the doctor and ask [then she left ,it was my brother and her dad]
Thomas; i hope you not dating her boy cauz i'll kill for her
Cain; excuse me!!
Thomas; you heard me better not be dating my daughter or all hell will break lose
Cain; with all due respect Mr Elanor i'm not interested in that scrawny daughter of yours i have a thick fat ass girlfriend 
Thomas ; mxm[he left]
me; what was that??
Cain;; what was what??
me; you calling my friend scrawny ....she's not scrawny
cain; i knw i wanted to get him off my back
me; oooh .....you like her don't u 
cain[bluffing] what ...never she ain't my type lil sis
me; oohk[ Miss Elanor came]
Mrs Elanor; let's go the hospital ,the doctor said i should hurry
me; why?? what happened ma'm
Mrs Elanor ; let's go i'll tell you on the way
me; ohk ma'm [ we got to our car same as Maya' s mom then we drove there]
Mrs Elanor; the doctor said she was pregnant, but they did a safe abortion because the pregnancy was still new and i swear to God i'll kill her
me; ma'm she doesn't have a boyfriend how can she get pregnant[i looked at Cain who was focused on the road and he shrugged ]
Mrs Elanor ; but how can she get pregnant 
me; i donno ma'm but if she's not with me she's home .....we had a sleep over and she told me you and her dad went abroad
Mrs Elanor; what!!!! but i stay abroad she stays here with her dad.............OH MY GOD [ i turned to look at her and her eyes were shining with tears in them]
me; ma'm whaat's wrong???
Mrs Elanor ; don't tell what i think is true ,if it is i won't be able to forgive myself at all
me; ma'm what are you talking about ma'm[ i was confused now ,we reached there and we got off went straight to her ward and there she was sleeping  peacefully ...i rushed to her and attacked her with a hug and she opened her eyes flinching as i let out a loud sob]
me; Maya!! 😭😭do you know how worried i was
Maya; geez !! um not dead am i???[ she said rolling her eyes and her eyes locked behind me and tears welled up in her eyes]
Maya; mmomm[ her voice began to break as she cried and her mom rushed to her and hugged her and they were both crying 🙄🙄,Cain was leaning by the door as he flashed a smile and left]
Me; let me excuse you...
Maya; it's fine ....din't you miss me??
me; you haven't changed have you
Maya; wanted me to die?? mama meet Caily my bestie
me; duh.......didn't you wonder how we arrived here at the same time ....i went to your home you dummy..[her mom was quiet]
maya; i missed you mama
Mrs Elanor ; why did you do this to me Maya??
Maya; what happened mother....
Mrs Elanor; you were pregnant........thank God the doctors removed that thing  , um disappointed in you
Maya; mama there's something i've been meaning to tell you[ she said nervously and serious that her mom loosened up to listen to her
Mrs Elanor; [ she moved closer to the bed and held her hand] what is it baby
Maya; [her voice was trembling now] its....it..its dad...dad raped me mom[ tears ran down her cheeks Mrs Elanors eyes widened as she  gasped  in disbelief  and shook her head slowly]
Mrs Elanor ; no that can't be true your dad will never do that[i was shocked as i looked at Maya eye's widened i was shocked to the core]  what i don't understand is after all this years why didn't you tell me , why tell me now ?? oh i knw cauz you are pregnant and want it to look like rape and you want to accuse your father Maya ...disgusting 
Maya; i was scared ...i was scared he'll hurt you and me , he even made up a video of me seducing him afte drugging me and promised to shoot me if i didn't do what he wanted...[ she was crying and i didn't know when i started crying but i was crying so i just held her hand showing silent support]
Mrs El nanor;[ she shouted which made both of us flinch] How dare you......how dare you ccuse your father for such serious crime , your father was robbed while he went to a meeting to make your future and you accuse him of rape 
Maya; mom ...plea..please believe me ,all i need right now is your support please mommy believe me[ she was crying which pained me , i just sat there holding her hand and rubbing her back because she was now sitting upstraight and Mrs Elanor was busy pacing up and down]
Mrs Elanor; i will not stand here and listen to you saying ungratful things about your father you little slut , you started whoring around ,oh don't think that your father din't tell me , he told me you came late and you would sneak boys into your room .....you ungrateful bi***
Me; ma'm you can't talk to her li.........
Mrs Elanor; shut the fu** up you the one who taugh........
Maya; mother please.....don't involve Caily in this .......please believe me mother he forced himself on me 
Mrs Elanor;  No...... you are no longer my daughter ...get out of my sight you wretched girl i want nothing to do with you and don't come to my house ever again if i see you i swear ..i swear i'll send you to hell[ with that she stormed off leaving Maya devastated and i tried to calm her down  she cried out loud she started to have breathing problems]
Me ; Mm ..Maya breath.... breath please[  her chest was rising she was failing to breath making me panick so i sreamed for the doctor .....they rushed in and  i was sent out ..i needed fresh air , Maya has been going through this and didn't tell anyone ....i called my brother and we went home while i told him everything , he was worried about Maya]
