Miles' POV

I watched Lily chasing after a butterfly, trying her very best to catch it. She tripped and fell on her knees.

Sitting up she wailed looking at the small scratch on her knee.

I ran towards her and kneeled before her.

"I told you to be careful Lily. You keep hurting yourself." I said, checking the wounded spot.

"I was just trying to catch that butterfly Alpha." Lily said, pointing towards the yellow butterfly which was now perching on the flowers in the nearby bush.

I sighed then placed my palm on her affected knee and it healed immediately.

"You're gonna be fine, princess." I told her and helped her up.

We both went inside the pack house and my little boy jumped on me. I laughed as I threw him up.

Bailey Mikey was three now. It has been three years since we defeated the black witches, three years since my son died and came back to life, three years that we've all been living peacefully.

I walked into the living room, sitting Bailey on my lap as I sat down. Aliyah was there, watching TV with Bianca. She had been with us all these while and only went home once in a while. It was nice to see her and my mate been friends. It took some time but they eventually learned to tolerate each other.

Seth walked into the living room groaning in frustration.

"You couldn't tell her could you?" I asked nonchalantly, playing with Bailey's hair.

"You have no idea Miles. It's the most difficult thing to do. What if she freaks out? Or rejects me?" Seth said and stomped his foot in frustration. Bianca and Aliyah glared at him as he was obviously distracting them from whatever show they were engrossed in.

Seth found his mate two weeks ago but she was a human. She came camping with her friends very close to our Pack's border and that's how Seth found his mate. He had to pretend to be a human to approach her but now he was getting frustrated and just wanted to tell her the truth already.

"She's leaving tomorrow Miles. If I don't tell her the truth already, she'll be gone forever!" He grunted. Bailey laughed as if he was seeing a comedy. Even my son found his situation amusing.

"Then tell her. What's the worst that could happen?

I regretted telling him that because in three hours, he was in my office crying.

"She freaked out! She totally freaked out!" He groaned hitting the wall.

"My wall is innocent, please don't break it down." I said feeling bad for my wall which now had a crack.

"Is that wall really more important than me now?" He grumbled and I sighed.

"What did she say after you transformed?" I asked.

"She ran away. Her friends threatened me with a fucking machete!" He said. I held the urge to laugh.

"So you ran away just because you were threatened with a machete by a bunch of humans?"

I couldn't believe my strong and fearless beta was the one saying this right now.

"It's not as easy as you think. I couldn't fight them because she'll hate me after that." He said.

"Why don't you coax her and explain things better to her? If she doesn't agree then you'll just have to let her go." I said and he shook his head.

"No way I'd let that happen. If she doesn't agree, I'll kidnap her and lock her in my room until she accepts her fate." He stormed out of the room after that and I sighed. I really hope he wasn't been serious.

I heard a knock on the door and Aliyah came in. I already knew it was her so I didn't bother to ask.

"I'm going back home Alpha." She said. I knew what she meant by that. She wasn't just going to spend the Christmas holiday or celebrate New year with her family like she has been doing for the past three years. She was going home, permanently.

"When?" I asked looking at the files on my table. I had prepared my mind for this day because I knew I couldn't keep Aliyah here forever.

"Now. I would have left tomorrow but if I stay any longer, I won't be able to leave again. I'm already missing everyone so much." She said and I smiled.

"It's been lovely having you here Ali. You helped me master my divine powers and abilities. You helped my family alot. There's no doubt I'm going to miss you Ali." I said.

She smiled.

"I was only doing what was expected of me. I'll still come around to say hi and anytime I'm missing you guys. I realized there's a whole life waiting for me back there and someone probably waiting for me too." She said. I knew she was talking about someone she could spend the rest of her life with. I also knew she was trying to tell me that she had gotten over her feelings for me.

"You also have to come visit more regularly. My mom isn't okay with you just coming once in a month." She said and I laughed.

"Of course Ali." I stood up and gave her a hug.

"You're one of my favourite persons in this world Ali. Take good care of yourself always." I disengaged from the hug and looked into her hazel eyes which were now glossy with tears.

"You know you're also one of my favourite persons in this world too right?" She asked and I smiled.

"Of course. If it isn't me then who else?" We both laughed.

"I'm looking towards letting the existence of witches been known to the werewolves. I want us to all live in harmony." I said and she smiled.

"Mom would love that news."

"Take care Ali." I said and she waved. She held her luggage I hadn't seen her come in with before and disappeared.

My mate entered the room and smiled at me sadly.

"She's gone right?" She asked and I nodded.

"She is a great person, though she seemed odd at first. I've really come to love her." Bianca said and hugged me. I kissed her lips and hummed.

"Did Seth mention about his mate?" She asked and I chuckled.

"He's going to bring her here." I replied.

"That poor human. I just hope he doesn't hurt her."

"He wouldn't, he's much better than that." I said and she nodded.

"It's been such a wonderful journey with you my love." She said as I led us both out of the office.

"Has it?" I asked teasingly and she slapped my butt.

"Such violation. You should learn a lesson dear mate." I slapped her butt too and she squealed.

"What would our son have to say about this huh? You're so-"

"Lovely." I chuckled.

"Don't put words in my mouth."

"Let me put a kiss instead." I drew her to me.

"Miles stop it, we're in the hallway, anyone can see us."

"Let them see." I carried her bridal style and led us to our room and she squealed.
