A Day in the Life of Sidharth Oberoi

**Morning**

The first rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow in Sidharth Oberoi's spacious bedroom. The room was neatly organized, with a large bed taking center stage and a minimalist design reflecting his no-nonsense attitude towards life. Sid's eyes fluttered open, the familiar dull ache in his spine already making its presence known. He winced slightly as he sat up, carefully swinging his legs over the edge of the bed. Mornings were always the hardest for him.

He reached for his glasses on the nightstand, slipping them on before he stood up. His tall, lean frame straightened with effort, his hand instinctively moving to his lower back, feeling the tightness in his muscles. He let out a soft sigh, steeling himself for another day.

As he walked out of his room, the quietness of the house reminded him that his twins, Rey and Miu, were still fast asleep. He needed to get them up soon; they had chores to do before heading off to school. He paused in front of Rey's room first, pushing the door open with a gentle nudge. The curtains were drawn, the room still dark. Sid shook his head with a small smile. Rey was never a morning person.

He walked over to the window and drew the curtains back, letting the bright light flood the room. "Rey, uth jaa beta," Sid said in a firm yet gentle tone, pulling the blanket off his son's sleeping form.

Rey groaned, turning away from the light, "Dad, thodi der aur na, please."

Sid crossed his arms, not budging. "Nahi, Rey, utho ab. Mujhe jhuk kar kuch uthana hota hai toh pith aur kamar dono mein dard hota hai. Tumhe aur Miu ko meri madad karni hai. Ab jaldi se utho."

Rey knew better than to argue further when his dad used that tone. With a reluctant sigh, he sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Theek hai, Dad. Uth raha hoon."

Sid waited until Rey got up and headed towards the bathroom before moving on to Miu’s room. He opened the door to find her curled up in a ball, the blankets pulled up over her head. Sid chuckled softly to himself, the sight never failing to warm his heart despite the pain in his body.

He walked over to her bed, pulled the curtains aside, and gently tugged the blanket down. "Miu, beta, uthne ka time ho gaya hai."

Miu whined, covering her face with her hands. "Dad, mujhe nahi uthna, thodi der aur please."

Sid’s patience was thinner in the mornings, and today was no different. "Miu, jaldi utho. Tumhe pata hai, subah ke waqt mera pith aur kamar ka dard kitna badh jaata hai. Tum dono ko madad karni hai."

Miu finally sat up, pouting slightly as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. "Theek hai, Dad. Main uth gayi."

Satisfied that his children were finally up, Sid left the room and headed downstairs to the kitchen. He began preparing breakfast, the smell of fresh coffee and eggs filling the air. As he flipped the omelet in the pan, he glanced at the clock. The kids should be down by now, he thought.

Just as he was about to go and check on them again, Rey appeared in the doorway, followed closely by Miu. They both looked a little disheveled but awake.

"Good morning, Dad," Rey greeted him, sliding into one of the kitchen stools.

"Good morning, Dad," Miu echoed, though with slightly less enthusiasm.

Sid nodded, not pausing in his task. "Good morning. Tum dono ne fresh ho liya?"

"Yes, Dad," Rey replied, stealing a glance at the food. "Kya bana rahe ho?"

"Omelet aur toast," Sid said, placing the freshly made food on plates and handing them over. "Abhi jaldi breakfast karke school ke liye ready ho jao."

As they sat down to eat, Sid took a seat across from them, sipping his coffee. "Aaj school mein kuch important hai? Koi test ya assignment?"
