In the evening after the kids were back and happy, they were sitting together beside Sid, the cozy silence in the room was interrupted by the sound of the doorbell ringing. Sid, who had been resting with his eyes closed, gently opened them and looked at his children. "Jao, darwaza dekho, shayad nurse aayi hai mujhe injection dene," he said softly.

Miu and Rey exchanged worried glances, and Miu asked, "Aapko injection denge? Kiyu, Dad?"

Sid sighed, understanding their concern. "Dard hai na, beta. Injection lena padega thik hone ke liye."

Miu, still anxious, hesitated for a moment before asking, "Dad, injection kaha denge?"

Sid looked at her, his expression calm but tired. "Meri spine mein denge, beta," he replied, trying to reassure her with a small smile.

Rey and Miu reluctantly got up and went to open the door. Meanwhile, Vansh, who had been sitting quietly, turned to Sid with concern in his eyes. "Mamu, spine mein injection dene se toh dard hoga na?" he asked, his voice tinged with worry.

Sid smiled faintly, appreciating the concern from his nephew. "Haan, Vansh, thoda dard toh hoga, lekin zaroori hai. Injection se hi dard thoda kam hoga, aur main thoda better feel karunga."

Vansh nodded, understanding the necessity but still feeling uneasy about it. "Aapko dard na ho, bas yahi chahte hain, Mamu," he said softly.

Sid reached out and patted Vansh's hand, his own hand trembling slightly from the pain and fatigue. "Tum teeno ki pyaar hi meri sabse badi dawaai hai, beta. Yeh injection bas dard thoda kam karega."

At that moment, Miu and Rey returned with the nurse following behind them. The nurse, carrying a small medical bag, greeted Sid with a warm but professional smile. "Mr. Sid, it's time for your injection," she said, as she prepared the necessary items.

Sid nodded, bracing himself for the pain to come. He looked at his children, who were watching anxiously. "Tum log bahar jao, thoda der mein main theek ho jaunga," he said gently, not wanting them to see him in pain.

But Miu, Rey, and Vansh all shook their heads, refusing to leave him alone. "Hum yahi rahenge, Dad," Rey said firmly, standing by his father's side.

Sid couldn't help but feel touched by their determination. "Theek hai," he agreed, "par daro mat, main theek ho jaunga."

As the nurse administered the injection, Sid clenched his jaw, trying to suppress the groan of pain that threatened to escape. The children watched, their hearts heavy, but they stayed by his side, offering silent support.

Once the injection was over, Sid let out a slow breath, feeling a mixture of relief and lingering discomfort. The nurse assured him that the medication would help ease his pain soon.

"Thanks," Sid whispered to the nurse, before turning his attention back to his kids. "Ab main thoda rest karunga. Tum log bhi jao, Vansh ko apna naya PlayStation dikhao."

But Miu, Rey, and Vansh refused to leave his side, their loyalty unwavering. They settled back down beside him, making sure he was comfortable before finally relaxing a bit themselves.

Sid, though still in pain, felt an overwhelming sense of love and gratitude for his children. He knew that with them by his side, he could endure anything.

The next evening, Sid was sitting on the edge of the bed, his fists pressed into the mattress to support himself. The pain was still there, but he was determined to try and move around a bit. Rey was by his side, ready to assist him, while Vansh sat nearby, still trying to process everything he was witnessing. It was clear to him how naturally Miu and Rey took care of their father, something that was completely new to him.

Miu was behind Sid on the bed, her hands gently resting around his neck. She leaned forward slightly and asked, "Dad, thoda bahar chaloge? Hawa khane?"

Sid looked uncertain, but he wanted to give it a try. He had been confined indoors for several days, and the thought of getting some fresh air was tempting. "Haan beta, I can try if you both help me to walk," he replied, his voice tinged with both hope and hesitation.

Rey immediately responded, "Dad, slippers ya shoes?"

Sid thought for a moment and then replied, "Slippers, Rey."

Without hesitation, Rey went to fetch Sid's slippers. He knelt down in front of his father, gently lifting each foot and slipping the slippers on. Vansh observed this with a sense of amazement. He realized how effortlessly Rey anticipated Sid's needs, taking care of even the smallest details. It was clear that Rey had done this many times before, and it struck Vansh how different their lives were.

Sid, feeling the warmth of his children's care, looked at Vansh and said, "Vansh, dekho kaise Rey aur Miu meri madad karte hain. Yeh sab inke liye naya nahi hai. Tumhe bhi seekhna chahiye apne parents ka khayal kaise rakha jaata hai."

Vansh nodded, feeling a mix of respect and determination. He wanted to learn, to be able to care for his parents the way Rey and Miu cared for Sid. There was a quiet strength in the way they supported their father, a strength born out of love and responsibility.

As Rey and Miu carefully helped Sid to his feet, Vansh stood up, ready to offer his support as well. Together, they slowly guided Sid towards the door. Each step was a small victory, and though it was difficult, Sid felt a sense of accomplishment. With his children's help, he managed to reach the lawn, where he settled into the recliner.

Rey and Miu adjusted the pillows around Sid, making sure he was comfortable. Vansh watched closely, trying to remember each action, each word. He was learning, slowly but surely, how to be there for someone in need.

Sid looked at his children, a deep sense of pride filling his heart. "Tum log mere liye bahut kuch karte ho," he said softly. "Main khush hoon ke tum dono samajhdar ho gaye ho. Vansh, tum bhi yeh sab seekh jaoge."

Miu, always the more vocal one, chimed in, "Dad, hum aapka khayal rakhte hain kyunki aap humse bohot pyaar karte ho. Aur hum bhi aapse bohot pyaar karte hain."

Sid smiled, feeling a warmth that went beyond the physical care they were giving him. It was the love and dedication of his children that truly healed him, day by day. And with Vansh beginning to understand and join in, Sid knew that this bond of love and care would only grow stronger.
