As they finished their breakfast, Sid leaned back on the recliner, feeling the warmth of his children's presence around him. Rey was clearing the plates, while Miu stayed close, her small hands gently rubbing her dad's arm. Vansh watched them quietly, noticing how Miu and Rey seemed to instinctively know what Sid needed without him saying much.
Sid, though feeling the pain, couldn’t help but smile inwardly at how his children were taking care of him. He knew Miu could be quite the little commander, especially when it came to making sure everyone took care of him. He also knew that Vansh wasn’t accustomed to this kind of responsibility.
After a moment, Sid looked at Vansh and smiled softly. “Vansh, dekh rahe ho? Tumhare Bhai-behen kaise apne Dad ka khayal rakh rahe hain? Yeh sab seekhna zaroori hai, beta. Jab parents ka tabiyat kharab hota hai, toh yeh bacchon ki zimmedari hoti hai ki unka dhyaan rakhein.”
Vansh nodded, listening intently as Sid spoke. He admired how Rey and Miu were taking care of their dad, and he felt a sense of responsibility growing inside him.
Sid continued, his voice gentle but firm, “Dekho, Vansh, jab parents ki umar badhti hain, toh unko sirf dawaiyon ki zaroorat nahi hoti. Unko apne bacchon ka pyaar aur parvah bhi chahiye hota hai. Jaise abhi Miu aur Rey mere liye mera sahara ban gaye hain, waise hi tumhe bhi apne parents ka sahara banna padega jab unhe tumhari jaroorat ho.”
Vansh listened carefully, absorbing every word. He had always loved and respected his parents, but hearing it from Sid, someone he looked up to, made it all the more real. He could see how much Sid valued the care and love his kids were giving him, and it made him think about how he could do the same for his own parents.
Miu, still sitting close to Sid, wrapped her arms around his torso, snuggling closer. “Dad, hum hamesha aapka khayal rakhenge,” she whispered softly, her voice filled with sincerity.
Rey, who had just returned after clearing the plates, sat down on the other side of Sid and joined his sister in hugging their dad. “Haan, Dad. Aap humare sab kuch ho. Hum aapka hamesha khayal rakhenge, chahe kuch bhi ho,” Rey added, his voice equally earnest.
Sid smiled, feeling a deep sense of gratitude and love for his children. He placed a hand on each of their heads, gently stroking their hair. “Mere bacche... Tum dono ho, toh mujhe aur kuch nahi chahiye. Tum dono hi mere jeene ka sahara ho,” he said, his voice filled with emotion.
Vansh watched this tender moment unfold, and he felt a warmth spreading through his chest. He admired the bond Sid shared with his children, and he knew that it was something special. It made him want to be there for his parents just as much, to show them the same kind of love and care that Miu and Rey were showing Sid.
As they sat there together, the room filled with a comforting silence, Sid felt a sense of peace. Despite the pain and the challenges, he knew he was not alone. He had his children by his side, and that made all the difference in the world.
Sid then turned to Vansh, his expression serious but kind. “Beta, yaad rakhna, parents ka khayal rakhna baccho ki zimmedari hoti hai. Unki umar ke saath-saath unhe tumhari zaroorat zyada hoti hai. Tum bhi apne parents ka aise hi khayal rakhna, jaise Miu aur Rey mera rakhte hain.”
Vansh nodded, a determined look on his face. “Ji, Mamu. Main hamesha apne parents ka khayal rakhunga. Aapki baatein yaad rakhunga,” he promised.
Sid smiled, feeling a sense of pride. “Good. Main jaanta hoon tum yehi karoge,” he said, his voice filled with trust.
The kids remained close to Sid, their arms still wrapped around him. They could feel the weight of his words, the importance of what he was teaching Vansh, and by extension, them too. It was a reminder of their responsibilities, not just now, but in the future as well.
