A/n: smut ahead ;) also I literally forgot to change the years,so let's just say the story now starts from the year 1980. I am so sorry ,I forgot. It's just so confusing.

Year: Early 1980

One day, Ben came to Y/n. He looked hesitant and nervous.He stood in front of her,and  fidgeted slightly,and  his eyes shifted as if he was unsure of how to begin.

"What's wrong, Ben?" She asked.

Instead of responding with words, Ben slowly reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box.

He opened it to reveal a ring, its simple yet elegant design shined in the light.

Y/n's breath caught as she immediately understood what was happening.

Ben was  still silent, and watched her intently. This was the moment he had feared and longed for.

His hands trembled slightly, and she could see the vulnerability in his eyes,the fear that she might say no, just like the last time he had tried to ask her this question.

A/n: poor Ben. Bro is probably getting flashbacks.

But this time, Y/n smiled softly.

"Yes, Ben."

Ben was momentarily stunned, and unable to believe what he had just heard. His eyes widened, and for a moment, he seemed on the verge of tears, overwhelmed by relief and happiness.

He had prepared himself for rejection, for the possibility that she might turn him down again, but instead, she had said yes.

She reached out and  caressed his cheek gently.Ben leaned into her touch,  as he let out a shaky breath.

For once, the walls he had built around himself seemed to crumble, and he allowed himself to feel the full depth of his emotions.

She pulled him into a hug and  held him close as he buried his face in her shoulder.

"I love you." She whispered,and  her words wrapped around him like a protective shield.

Ben still struggled to process the fact that she had accepted his proposal and  hugged her back tightly, silently vowing never to let her go.

In that moment, all of his fears, doubts, and past mistakes seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in their  happiness.

Y/n had always been perceptive, and lately, she could sense that something was going within Payback.

  She had a gut feeling that the team was planning something, though she couldn’t quite put her finger on it.

Worried about what this might mean for her and Ben, she decided it was time to take matters into her own hands.

One evening, as they sat together, Y/n looked at Ben with a serious expression.

“Ben, I’ve been thinking...” she began.

“What’s on your mind?” He asked.

“I can sense that Payback is planning something....I don’t know what it is, but I have a bad feeling about it. That’s why I think we should marry soon.”

Ben blinked, clearly taken aback by her suggestion.

“You… want to get married soon?” He asked.

He had not expected her to want to move so quickly, especially after everything they had been through.
