A/n: a fun chapter.

After the parade, everyone of them did a showcase of their powers in front of the public and they did some meet greets with them too.

Y/n and Ben stayed away due to this all. Ben complained about this but Y/n didn't.

Maybe a bit. She missed his annoying talks.

After the event finished, everyone came back to the building. And surprisingly Stan agreed to have a little party with the team members in the meeting room.

But just him and the team members.

They did not complain. They just wanted some fun.

.

Stan stood at the front.

"Team, you did good today. Your efforts were satisfactory."

The team members nodded, somewhat taken aback by Stan's blunt and unenthusiastic praise.

"However, don't think this means you can rest on your laurels. I expect to see continued improvement and results."

Ben and Y/n exchanged a glance, both thinking that Stan's words are lacking the warmth and appreciation they had expected.

"That's all."

"Nuh-uh. That's not all, Stan. You promised you would have a little private party with us,here." Ben smirked, trying not to make it too obvious.

Y/n shot him a glare, remembering what the team discussed about.

"Of course. I remember. And we will. Drinks are on their way. Have some patience." Stan answered, trying to hide his annoyance.

"Good." Ben sarcastically smiled at Stan.

Ben exchanged a funny look with Tommy who nodded back.

Y/n noticed this exchange.

"Ben, I don't think this is a good idea. You're really going to slip something into Stan's drink?" She whispered to him.

"Come on, Y/n, it'll be harmless. Just a little something to loosen him up and make him less...Stan-like." He smirked.

"No, Ben, I mean it. This isn't right. We can't just drug our boss without his consent." She shook her head.

This was a pretty stupid idea.

"Oh, come on. You're not going to lecture me about ethics, are you? Stan's been asking for it with his constant belittling and micromanaging." He rolled his eyes.

"That may be true, but two wrongs don't make a right. And what if something goes wrong? What if he has a bad reaction or something?"

"He'll be fine, Y/n. I promise. I've got everything under control."

"I don't know, Ben...I just have a bad feeling about this." She sighed.

"Come on, Y/n, don't be such a worrier. Live a little. It'll be fun, I promise."

She hesitated, but Ben's smirk got her. She looked around the room, making sure no one was watching, then back at Ben.

"Fine. But if anything goes wrong, I'm blaming you."

"That's the spirit, Y/n! I'll take care of everything." He grinned.

Ben gave her a reassuring pat on the back, as she reluctantly agreed to go along with his plan.

"I don't know why....I am getting a bad feeling about this." Y/n frowned to herself.

" Stan. Your service is very late. Try to improve it." Ben raised an eyebrow.
