The door of the building suddenly opened and in came Frenchie, M.M, Hughie, Annie, Kimiko and Maeve.
Hughie immediately spotted Butcher and Y/n.
"Butcher, we need to talk...This isn't the way to handle things. We can't just go after Homelander like this. It'll only lead to more chaos."
"Just today, you were right there with us on this path, Hughie! So what changed? You were ready to take risks when it suited you." Y/n scoffed.
"I talked to him, okay? I gave him some sense. This isn't about revenge anymore, it's about doing what's right." Annie interjected.
Y/n's eyes narrowed.
"And what makes you think you can just come in here and dictate what's right for him? He knows the stakes better than any of us!"
"Guys, can we focus on the fact that we're all on the same side here? We want to stop Homelander but we can't lose ourselves in the process." Hughie sighed.
Maeve leaned against the wall with her arms crossed and watched with a bemused expression while Kimiko stood quietly. Frenchie rubbed his temples.
"Look...You think I'm not aware of the risks? But if there's a chance to end Homelander once and for all, I'm going to take it." Butcher declared.
"And what about the consequences? You can't just charge in without a plan! You need to think about everyone involved." Annie shouted.
Y/n shot Annie a fierce look.
"And what makes you the authority on plans? You're not the one who has to live with the fallout of his choices!"
"This isn't going to help anyone. We need to come together, not tear each other apart." Annie argued back.
"Listen, we all want the same thing. Let's figure out how to do this without sacrificing what's left of our humanity." Frenchie suggested.
"Butcher, you know better than to let rage cloud your judgment. This isn't just about you... it's about all of us." M.M nodded.
Then he turned towards Y/n.
"Y/n, you've got to understand that charging headfirst into this is dangerous. We need to think strategically. What if you put yourself in harm's way? We can't afford any more casualties."
"I'm not backing down. We've fought too hard to let fear dictate our actions. If we let Homelander keep running free, it's only a matter of time before he goes after someone we care about again." She answered.
"You're right about the stakes but you can't let that anger blind you. We need a plan and that means working together, not just with brute force. You need to trust us, too." Frenchie shook his head.
"I do trust you guys but sometimes it feels like you're all too scared to act. We can't wait around forever hoping for a perfect moment. Homelander isn't going to give us that chance!" She rolled her eyes.
Kimiko stepped forward and her hands moved in gestures. She signed emphatically and conveyed her support for Y/n's stance.
"We must fight! He hurts people!"
M.M glanced at Kimiko.
"I get it, Kimiko. We all want to fight back but if we lose control, it won't just be our lives at stake. We have to be smart about this."
Frenchie nodded in agreement.
"Oui, we must protect each other. That is the key. If we go in without a strategy, we risk losing everything we've worked for."
