Chapter 13

As they entered the house, Mrs. Kim walked up to Tae and embraced him. Tae, clearly taken by surprise, returned her hug, wrapping his arms around Mrs. Kim. It was evident that he really needed this comfort, as he tried to hold back his tears, which were on the verge of spilling from his eyes, while embracing her.

“ Are you okay?” Mrs. Kim asked with concern.
“I'm very well, I'm sorry for not picking up your calls and making you worried, please don't be worried,” tae replied with a soft smile.

Mrs. Kim looked at Jin who nodded with a smile to tell her mom not to worry.

“ Okay but please tell me if you have any problems , promise ...
Come on...you should freshen up and come down for dinner “

Tae bowed down and went to his room. Jin and his mother shared a concerned glance. She asked if something happened but Jin just sighed. His mother already knew that Tae was Jin's mate. She loved Tae before but now she is more protective towards Tae.

Tae was sitting on a chair in the backyard, looking at the starry night, even though Seoul’s sky was not as clear as his hometown.
Tae was so immersed in his thoughts that he didn't feel Jin's presence. Again. Jin looked at him. He softly coughed to gain his attention.

Tae was startled and looked at the person. Jin sighed and sat down near Tae.

“You need to stop getting lost in your thoughts. What if someone surprised you badly.” Jin said sternly.

“I'm sorry…I didn't mean to”, Tae looked to the side, confused and still dizzy.

“Stop”
Tae looked at Jin surprised.
“ What?” He asked worried that he had offended Jin somehow.

“ Stop apologizing “Jin looked at Tae seriously.

“Oh-,” Tae was confused and shocked.

“I don't know why you keep apologizing over every silly thing …please stop …I'm your friend right?!,”
Jin stammered all the words. On the other side, Tae was so surprised because Jin called himself his friend…. which is surprising. He thought Jin was just nice to him because of Mrs. Kim.

“I..I didn't know we were friends” Tae asked bluntly but suddenly his eyes widened when he saw Jin's expression. “ No No I didn't mean it that way” Tae said hurriedly waving his hands in front of Jin.

Which made Jin laugh… Tae was kind of confused and surprised…His face got red like Tomato.
“No,  I just wanted to say that I thought you didn't want to be friends with me,” Tae said while looking down at his hands.

Jin looked at him fondly.
“ Why would I not want to be friends with you?” Jin asked softly.
“I don't know”, Tae replied, shrugging his shoulders.

Tae thought Jin was a nice person and he was just nice to him because of Mrs. Kim. Especially why would an alpha want to be friends with someone like Tae? An used omega who has no idea what is happening with his life.

“ I'm sorry for my behaviour when we met “ Jin is looking at the tree in his backyard. Tae looked at Jin, he didn't expect Jin to acknowledge his behaviour when they met and over the top, apologizing for that.

“Now who is apologizing for something so trivial” Tae said with a teasing tone.
“ Well, I deserve to say sorry for my mistake…I mean it was actually…. stupid “
“Isn't it discrimination? …How can your mistake be bigger than mine?” Tae said bluntly, slightly offended.

This made Jin's eyes widen with surprise and a happy wave crashed Jin, he started laughing his windshield laughter …
“What, what …” Tae was slightly offended and surprised to see Jin laughing so freely in front of him. The scene of Jin laughing and wiping his tears off. Tae tried to stop Jin, but he was pouting.

“ I...I am going if you don't stop laughing “ Tae pouted and started standing up, he had his hand placed on his belly and other on the arm of the chair.

“ Wait wait I'm sorry,No.. I stop “ Jin stopped Tae still wiping his tears. Tae huffed and looked another side, still pouting.

Jin looked at Tae ..he felt alive , Tae was looking so beautiful and adorable under the moonlight, his skin was red because of embarrassment. He looks ethereal.
His alpha also was purring and wagging his tail.

“ I didn't mean to but I never realized discrimination has such a wide range” Jin teased Tae. Which made Tae glare at him …Jin surrendered himself by lifting his both hands.

The ice had melted, They sat beside each other, the moonlight casting a gentle glow around them. Tae spoke with care, possibly grappling with something in his mind, while Jin, concerned about Tae's day, gently probed for answers without pressing too hard.

Taehyung experienced a sense of calmness while conversing with Jin. His pheromones had a soothing effect, and the discomfort in his belly subsided compared to earlier in the day. Jin's presence brought warmth to his heart, providing a sense of protection and security. Despite these noticeable effects, Tae struggled to disregard his emotions.
Tae didn't want to accept these feelings.

“Taehyung-shi, can you stop calling me Jin-shi?”

“If Jin-shi also stopped calling me Taehyung-shi?,” Taehyung playfully replied.

“ Deal, Taehyung-ah,” Jin said, staring into Tae's eyes. Tae got red again.

“ Deal, Jin- hyung” Tae whispered which made Jin's wolf howl in happiness.

Their hearts were pounding simultaneously. They both looked away from each other.
Jin looked at the tree which he had made his today's nervous staring spot. While Tae looked at the other side, caressing his belly. His face was heating up.

Suddenly a wave of memories flooded Tae's mind, and his smile dropped. Jin also sensed Tae's discomfort.

“Taehyung-ah ?!”

“ I think I should go to sleep, good night Jin Hyung” Tae stood up and walked up to the stairs which led to his room.

Jin stood there dumbfounded. Everything was going smoothly..what happened suddenly.

Jin's wolf was also restless again.
