AT THE COMPOUND

It was the day before Christmas Eve and
the Mikaelsons, Camille, and Vincent were having a meeting. Everything was going as planned.All the heads of the Strix from different regions will be in town.Marcel had communicated with Elijah, informing him that the Strix have agreed to initiate Lucien and Lucien has accepted the invitation. Marcel couldn't join them for the meeting because he didn't want to be seen at the Compound, the plan was to make the Strix think that he wasn't close to the family anymore.

Hayley was holding Hope on her lap, Freya, Rebekah, and Vincent were seated on the same Sofa. Elijah was seated on a one seater sofa holding a glass of whisky in his hand. Klaus and Camille were seated close together, Klaus was holding her hand. The couple has been inseparable and so much in love. Vincent wasn't surprised at all when he saw them been all lovey-dovey when he walked in the compound. He knew that somehow, these two would end up together. What amazes him is seeing this side of Klaus, the man who is feared by everyone being all sweet and smiling. I guess even monsters do fall in love, he thought to himself.

"Marcel will make sure that Devina is not anywhere near the party. He will bring her to the compound once the party starts and everyone is distracted," said Elijah

"Vincent and I will make sure that the venue is enchanted. Once inside, no one will be able to leave, so you and Niklaus will have to torch the place," said Freya

"That won't be a problem so long as your spell can hold all the Strix vampires inside the building," said Klaus

"Will this solve the problem? I mean... won't the rest of Strix vampires come after you?," asked a concerned Camille

"We already have a replacement for the leader who will be able to control the living members of the Strix, as the original founder I intend to take up that role. I will do everything in my power to protect this family. We can't leave the seat vacant because that will create chaos. The living members will have to be controlled by someone stronger," said Elijah

"And won't they figure it out? that the original family is behind the massacre if you and Marcek are the only ones left alive," asked Hayley

"The New Orleans witches will take the blame for the fire. The witches and the Strix already hate each other, and the ancestors are very much willing to get rid of them, " said Vincent

"Rebekah, Camille, Hayley and Hope will be here at the compound. Freya and Vincent will make sure that the compound is protected from any attack before they join us, Devina and Josh will come and join you later at the Compound," said Klaus

Once everyone had agreed on what needed to be done, Vincent said his goodbyes and left.

" I am going to finish up on the Christmas decorations. We have to make it look like it is business as usual," said Rebekah

Elijah had suggested that Rebekah should handle the Christmas decorations. The family was to act like their normal selves because he didn't want the Strix to even get a hint that they were planning something big The girls had gone out to do some shopping except for Rebekah who had to stay behind because they didnt want Tristan is know that she is back in New Orleans and she wasn't happy about it but she at least she got to supervise the decorating at the Compound.

Hayley, Hope, and Freya went to join her. Elijah had to leave to take care of some last-minute business.

Klaus could tell that Camille was still concerned about the plan.
