Chapter seven

A/N We have finally come to the last chapter. This was meant to be a short story for a reason. I didn't want to make it a long story just for it to end up being super boring. Enjoy!

STRIX RESIDENCE

Elijah arrived with Gia at the Strix residence where the party was been held. Elijah chose this venue because it is owned by the Strix and not so close to the residents of New Orleans. It was the perfect venue for the perfect plan.

The ballroom looked extravagant. The events company that Elijah had hired had done a great job.

Gia was on his arm looking gorgeous as they walked through the doors, and all the attention was on them. Specifically Elijah. The Strix members have never met Elijah or the original family. To them, they are a myth. They have heard stories and heard rumours. Some of the rumours painted Elijah as the noble brother and Klaus as the monster.
Elijah looked elegant and classy. You can tell just looking at him that he was a powerful being, and he carries himself like an original. Some vampires looked at him with intrigue and some with lust.
He walked past Marcel, clearly ignoring him, making it look like the two don't get along anymore. Tristan approached him.

"Welcome, Elijah," said Tristan

"Thank you. This is Gia, my lovely date," said Elijah

Gia offered her hand, and Tristan kissed her hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Gia. I am Tristan De Martel."

"The members are eager to meet you," said Tristan, looking at Elijah

Elijah followed Tristan as he introduced him to the members.

The Strix members couldn't believe that they were finally meeting the founder but also the original vampire. All the members were from Elijah's Sire line except for Marcel, Gia, and Lucien were invited guests.

It was before midnight when Klaus arrived with Vincent and Freya. Marcels vampires were already at the location waiting for Klaus. They had parked a couple of miles away from the residence. Once they receive a go away from Elijah, they will make a move.

Lucien was surrounded by the Strix members, all from Elijah's Sireline. He couldn't believe that tonight he was going to be initiated and  become a Strix member, an organisation that only elite vampires are invited to join from Elijah's Sire line. But since the rumours of a war brewing, Tristan and his advisors have decided to initiate selected vampires from the other two Sire lines, and the first to be initiated was Marcel, Klaus's adopted son.
Him and Tristan have been working together to take down the Mikaelsons, and this will give him more influence. The Mikaelsons have taken everything from him. First, it was Klaus when he seduced Aurora, and second, it was Elijah when he compelled him, Aurora and Tristan to think that they were Elijah, Rebekah and Klaus This resulted in trio to be on the run for decades. But soon they will pay, him and Tristan and I will make sure that they will suffer. Once that is done, he will find Aurora and prove to her that he is the better man, that he will devote his life to her only. She will never have to compete with another woman for his affections.

Tristan announced to the guests that it was time for the initiation and that they would begin with the ceremony.

Marcel slipped out of the ballroom to find Devina. He needed to get her out to safety. She was upstairs waiting for Marcel. He had sent her a message giving her instructions, and now here she was in a room standing by the window facing the woods. Marcel walked in.

"Are you ready?"

"Yes. Where is Josh?"

"He is outstand waiting."

Marcel walked to the window and opened it. He looked down and saw Josh waiting.

"You will have to jump, and he will catch you,"
