David's heart pounded as he stood outside Karma's apartment door, taking a deep breath before knocking. He knew this was his last shot to make things right, and he wasn't going to mess it up. The sound of footsteps approaching from the other side made him straighten up, trying to mask his anxiety. When Karma opened the door, she looked at him with a mix of surprise and annoyance."come in"
❝ David bro MOO—VUHH, I'm tired of ya games bro ,you keep leading me the fuck on yo❞ she snapped, clearly not in the mood for his presence. He tried to grab her hand and calm her down .
David flinched at her tone but didn't let it deter him. "Karma, please, I know I messed up, but I need to talk to you. I'm not here to fight or argue. I just want to explain."
Karma folded her arms, her eyes narrowed in irritation. "What's there to explain? You went with Kenzo, the same girl who's made my life hell since day one. You could've chosen anyone, but you went with the one person who had it out for me."
David took a deep breath, his frustration and guilt mixing together. "Please, baby, I don't mean it like that. I'm here to make things right. I didn't want to go with Kenzo, but I felt like I needed someone to go with me, and she just happened to be available. I realize now how much I messed up by not thinking it through."
David's eyes were red-rimmed, not from tears but from the intense emotions he was struggling to keep in check. "Look, I know I've been a jerk. You don't understand what it's like with those people in those towers. Even though my dad runs that place, people don't give a damn about me. They treat me like crap, and I don't expect any sympathy from them because I don't want it."
Karma was taken aback by his raw honesty. She could see the pain in his eyes, something she hadn't seen before. "So what's your point, David?"
"My point is," he continued, "I'm not asking for your sympathy or anything like that. I just wanted you to know that I messed up, and I'm trying to make things right. I care about you, Karma, more than I thought I did. I know I've hurt you, and I'm really sorry for that. I just need you to know that I didn't mean for things to turn out like this."
Karma looked at him, her anger slowly fading. "You really think you can just come here and fix everything? It's not that easy, David."
David shook his head, desperation creeping into his voice. "I know it's not easy. I know I've got a lot to make up for, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Just give me a chance to prove that I'm serious about this."
There was a pause as Karma considered his words. The room was silent except for the distant hum of traffic outside. Finally, she spoke, her voice softer. "I don't know, David. You've hurt me a lot. It's going to take more than just words to fix this."
