Karma, Eva, and Jayla were lounging in the school courtyard, where the usual energy felt a bit off without the familiar presence of David, Darrian, and Notti. The trio had dropped out of school last week to focus on their music careers, leaving a noticeable void.

Eva sighed, taking off her Beats headphones and setting them aside. "Niggas been acting mad day room."

Jayla nodded in agreement, a touch of annoyance in her voice. "Nah, word. Just 'cause they got a lil cheddar, now they think they're all that."

Karma laughed, shaking her head. "Y'all need to chill out. It's not like they're never coming back. They're just trying to do their thing. We can still hang out at the block if you miss them."

Eva rolled her eyes, but a smile tugged at her lips. "Yeah, yeah. It's just weird not seeing them around. The block's not the same without them."

Jayla chimed in, her expression softening. "True. But we've gotta support their hustle, right? Who knows, maybe they'll blow up and come back with a whole new vibe."

Karma nodded, still smiling. "Exactly. They're just doing what they gotta do. And we'll be here cheering them on. Besides, it gives us a chance to have some fun without them around for a change."

Eva and Jayla exchanged amused glances. "Fair point," Eva said. "Let's just make the best of it and keep things moving."

"Agreed," Karma replied, her mood lightening. "Now, who's up for hitting the block later and maybe catching a new vibe?"

The girls laughed and chatted as the school bell rang, signaling the end of lunch. They knew that while things might have changed, their friendship and support for each other remained solid. They were ready to adapt and find new ways to enjoy their time together, even if the block felt a little different without their friends.

As Karma and dd walked through the neighborhood, the chatter of the streets created a familiar backdrop. Karma glanced over at dd, who seemed to be genuinely trying to make things right.

"So," Karma said, her tone a mix of curiosity and sass, "what's been up with you lately? Besides trying to get me back, that is."

dd chuckled, a nervous edge to his laugh. "Man, I've been tryna figure out where I went wrong. Realized I messed up big time and now I'm tryna fix it. Ain't just about talking no more—I'm tryna show and prove."

Karma raised an eyebrow, her lips curling into a smirk. "Actions speak louder than words, you know? It's cute that you're talking, but let's see if you can actually walk the walk."

"I hear you," dd said, nodding. "I know I gotta put in the work. I been thinking a lot, and I'm serious about showing you I'm on a different vibe now. Ain't just about saying sorry, you feel me?"
