Seo Joon's POV

I leave the room to get some fresh air. My lips had met with Ki Seok's when I tripped and he fell on me. I was shaken from inside. Although he had just brushed it off lightly, I cannot take such jokes. The more I time I spend with him, the more I want to be with him, knowing fully well that it is impossible.

Even though on the beach, I was trying to be close to our stay for security reasons. I could feel Ki Seok standing by the window and staring at me intently; I didn't need to see to confirm anymore. A few girls had approached me and asked for my number. I couldn't give out that, but let them take pictures with me. Upon my return, Ki Seok seemed visibly irked by my interaction with girls. I let it pass as I do not have any interest in them anyways.

We head out for lunch and argue over the choice of food at the restaurant. I finally order Maeuntang (spicy fish stew) while Ki Seok orders Tangsuyuk (pork with sweet and sour sauce). Our food arrives and we dig into it. It is only now that I realize that playing in water is tiring. A few customers recognize Ki Seok and come to take pictures with him. I make sure none of them get too close to him.

Just then I see someone in black overalls entering the restaurant. He is wearing a mask. I am immediately on alert. He walks straight to the lady who greets him fondly. From their conversation, I make out that he is her grandson.

"Why don't you make it quick? We don't want to hang around in public places for long." I urge him.

"What's the rush?" he asks.

"You have been taking pictures with your fans, and soon people will know that you are in Jeju. I hope you understand what I mean." I explain.

Ki Seok looks pale now.

"Sorry I did not want to spoil your mood, but in the current situation we can only be careful."

"I understand." he says, trying to force a smile.

He is done in a few minutes and we head back to our suite.

"I am going to get tired spending time in the suite." He complains.

"Do you play games?" I ask him, knowing very well that he does.

"I have not played in a long time. I used to play a lot when I was in my teens. I could call myself a pro then. I have lost touch since the past decade or so." Ki Seok admits.

I know this too, but I don't say it aloud. He does not know our connection and I prefer to keep it that way. I cannot do anything to ruin his reputation as an idol and actor. I have followed him since his struggling days. He has already been through a lot as a solo artist. He deserves all that he has achieved. The k-netz are really cruel and if anything comes out regarding him that does not suit their ideals, they will make him hit rock bottom. That is one of the reasons why I cannot let him be close to me in public places. We need to keep our distance so that we do not invite trouble. Also, he has a person he loves. I cannot let my feelings show, now that I know about him. I am gay and he is straight. My feelings are mine to handle.

I hear a thud sound and come out of my reverie. I find that Ki Seok has dropped the jenga.

"Where did you find that?" I ask.

"I was looking around and asked the server if I could get something to play and he handed me this."

"When did you go out?" I was so lost in my thoughts that I did not see him leave.

"When you were daydreaming. Who were you thinking about? Some girlfriend or those girls you met earlier."

"You." I immediately regretted having said that. Ki Seok joins me on the bed where I am sitting.
