Unexpected Love in the Aquarium

Chapter 13

Shadow looked down and watched, once it got a little too mobian he put the cloak on Sonic. Mobians around here usually wear clothes so he didn't want to be rude. "How does it feel?" He asks. Sonic blush and nods, still shaking because it's new to him. "Weird but cool I guess..." He said, trying to get up but very unbalanced "Whoa!" Thankfully he was right there, his hands on Sonic's shoulder to help steady him. "Careful, take your time." The last thing he wanted was Sonic falling, helping him stand.

Sonic sighed and held his hands to help him balance "Could you help me learn to walk?" He said, blushing at the embarrassment of him learning to walk like a toddler would. Shadow gave a nod, looking down to show Sonic how he picks up his feet. "Just one foot up, put it forward then back down. Repeat with the other foot and you'll be walking in no time." He explains with a small smile. Sonic did as he was told and began to walk down the stairs carefully with each shaky steps but getting better knowing he's getting better, Chip watching as well as Tails, he's just happy that his invention worked really well!

He made sure it wasn't too crowded, pulling the hood over Sonic's head as they couldn't get caught. "Alright follow me, we shouldn't stay here long." Shadow led him to his motorcycle out back, putting on his helmet that was shaped to his quills. He then sat on it, motioning for Sonic to get on back. "Wrap your arms around my waist and put your feet on those side bars, hold on tight. And I mean tight." Sonic leaned his head to the side, confused on what that thing is but won't question it and did as told, blushing while holding his waist tight enough to not be thrown off "A-Alright... looks scary..."

"It's gonna be a bot loud. don't worry though." Shadow started it up, the engine roaring to life. He waited to see Sonic's reaction and didn't go unless the other was calm, looking back he put a hand on the arms wrapped around him. Sonic closed his eyes tight, hearing it loud kinda hurt his ears but claimed down when he felt his hand on his arms and breathe slowly then lay his head on his back to really calm down. 'I'm so close to Shadow! OMG! OMG!' he thought while holding tight to Shadow of his was his life jacket. Shadow let the other hold on as tightly as he wanted to, slowly making it out of the parking lot and out to the streets.

The city was awsome to see, so many cars and buildings. He drove to his place, it was closer to the edge of town so Sonic got to see some nature too. Sonic looked around with curious eyes, he never saw anything so amazing. The place looks beautiful, how did they do something so wonderful yet polluted the ocean that gives this place life? "Wow..." He was speechless with the nature around him. They went up a hill, good thing Sonic was holding on tight to him. Shadow  parked at his house, it was nice and had an overview of the city. Then he took off his helmet, leaving it on his bike as he got up. "How was that?"

Sonic chuckled and sat on the edge then said "Scary at first but after awhile, it was nice. Everything I saw was beautiful, how did they build the buildings like that? So stable, plus the nature was amazing to look at. So many creatures to see" Shadow was no builder, he didn't really know how buildings were built. At least not the ones built so high in the city, motioning to his house. "My house is a bit plain but I think you'll like it, one bedroom one bath but the living room and kitchen are nice." Sonic look at it, it reminds him of his old home back in the ocean and smiled at it "It's perfect to me Shads..." He walk to the front door and look ay the details on it "Us merfolks take in every detail of everything and appreciate it because someone made this to please other or to themselves" he said, running his fingers on the details.
