Malia

The last few days were filled with spontaneity, taking a day trip to Universal Studios on Monday. Then Aurora and I did a tour of the Everglades before they flew in on Tuesday, after doing so, hauling our stuff over to the Hilton Hotel to stay in the penthouse altogether for the remainder of the week (thank you, McLaren!)

It was the day before Media Day, and I was feeling more prepared than I had before, having prepped myself all of last week. McLaren kept today quiet, only scheduling one meeting for the Media and Communications team, for around 10 am, but hasn't sent out the agenda for what would be discussed, which confused me.

Aurora breaks me out of my thinking, squeezing my shoulders from behind me.

"Coffee?" she queries, knowing all too well I would never decline a coffee.

"Yes please, thanks babe," I say, watching as she pulls out some cups and begins making them.

Aurora prepared us some coffee, expertly making them just the way we both liked them - iced, sweet, and extra espresso and a tiny bit of milk.

"Here," she handed me my coffee, "your favourite."

I took a sip and smiled, feeling the bitter liquid slide down my dry throat, hydrating me.

"Thank you," I said, taking another sip before turning to her, "What's on your agenda for today?"

"Nothing much. Just chilling, I guess," she shrugs, taking her cup of coffee and leaning against the counter. "Might head to the beach, get my tan on."

I nod, feeling a little envious of her free schedule.

"Lucky," I mutter, half-joking. "I have a team meeting soon."

"Oh yeah, have they said what it's about yet?" Aurora asks me.

"No, they haven't given any details yet," I replied, taking another sip of my coffee. "It's annoying. I wish they'd at least give a hint about what we're discussing."

"Seems suspicious. Are Lando and Oscar involved in the meeting or is it just the media team?" She continues her questioning, clearly as confused as I am.

I think momentarily, trying to remember who was involved in the meeting.

"From what I can recall," I say slowly, "it's just the media and communications team. Lando and Oscar aren't mentioned in the email, which is a bit unusual."

Aurora raises an eyebrow, intrigued by the situation.

"That is weird," she comments, taking a drink of her coffee. "I wonder what could be so important that they need all of us and not Lando or Oscar. Maybe they're planning a big surprise or something..."

"I doubt they're planning a surprise... maybe it's about a guest we're inviting into the garage this weekend? I don't know, I'll find out soon enough. Starts in like, 15 minutes." I reply nonchalantly, just secretly intrigued to know what we could have to talk about pre-media day.

"You'll fill me in, right?" Aurora asks, curiosity now piquing her interest too. "I won't be satisfied until I know the reason for the secret meeting too."

I chuckle at her eagerness to know everything.

"Of course, I'll fill you in. I promise I'll tell you all the juicy details as soon as the meeting ends."
