Suisei entered the training room located on the third floor of the building. Riku was already waiting for her as he waved at her once he noticed her.
"I thought you backed out."
"No," Suisei gave Riku a warm smile. "... Before we start... I want to thank you for what you did ten years ago, Riku."
Riku chuckled softly.
"It's fine. I just did my job. More importantly, I never expected you to develop such a power to summon allies to fight for you. It reminds me of my early days."
Suisei raised an eyebrow at his statement, but he didn't elaborate on it. Putting his hands together, Riku then cleared his throat.
"Suisei, what do you know about magic?"
"... Uh, I know each individual possesses a type of magic they are talented in. Oftentimes, the Mage just taps into that form of magic they're good with."
"That's right," Riku nodded. "Each person's mana happens to be one of the basic four attributes: Fire, Water, Air, and Earth."
As he explained, Riku raised his right hand.
"There are also some who possess rarer attributes."
A purple crystal formed at his index finger, surprising Suisei.
"Wait... Didn't you use air magic against Assassin?"
"You're attentive. I did use air magic then... But to make things clear, just because you are born with a talent doesn't mean you are limited to that. I can access sixteen attributes I like to call Types."
Suisei's eyes widened in shock at the mention of his sixteen Types. She knew that learning a single attribute took a long time, so she couldn't comprehend the amount of willpower needed to achieve sixteen attributes.
"This current attribute I'm using is Crystal Type."
Riku approached Suisei and generated a crystal ball. He then smiled.
"Put your hands on this crystal ball."
Doing as he asked, Suisei felt the ball drain a little of her mana, before glowing an icy blue. Seeing this, Suisei gasped in shock.
"This is..."
"Hm, you are born with the rare attribute of ice. Interesting... Well, here is my question for you. Do you want to focus on learning summoning magic, or learning ice magic?"
Suisei took a moment to consider her options. From what she observed, summoning magic was very useful, since it allowed her to bring forth an ally who was already a master in combat.
"Learn ice magic," Suisei heard Virgo say. "While it is true I can be of great help, you already saw how easy it is to break our connection. If you learn ice magic, you can survive even if you're alone."
"... I'll learn ice magic," Suisei decided after hearing what Virgo had to say about the matter.
"Understood," Riku nodded. Then, the crystal ball shattered, before Suisei felt cold air envelop her body, making her shiver. "This is my Frost Type."
Riku pointed a hand outward. Following that, a blade of ice took shape, and rested firmly in his grip. Then, he shifted the icy sword into a stream of water, leaking out of his hand.
"Ice is a pretty versatile attribute. Most Mages use it for things like object creation, or capture focused combat. I use it often for the latter since I have other Types more suited for object creation, but for you, object creation should be more useful."
