"Who are you..?"

"Hm? Aqua, did you hit your head? It's me, Sana."

'Sana?' Lala was confused as to who the person in front of her was. "... I see."

However, she decided to act as if she knew who Sana was. For some reason, her gut told her that was the best play in the current situation.

"... Follow me."

Sana said softly before leading Lala towards the so-called lab. As they snuck out to the destroyed streets, the former suddenly raised her right hand.

"Boundless Chasm!"

An invisible barrier blocked a barrage of bullets. Lala's eyes widened as she couldn't believe her own eyes.

"... Suisei..?"

For some unknown reason, Suisei was pointing a gun at them. She clicked her tongue before reloading her weapon.

"Stop this nonsense already!" Sana snapped. "Aqua is the only one who can save this accursed time!"

"Shut it, Sana," This version of Suisei hissed with venom. "I refuse to let that little girl be the one to take on the duty of saving our world. All of us have trained since young to prepare for this time, but all she did was live a normal life!"

Sana growled.

"That's not the point! She's the only one who has the potential to awaken the true power of time reversal!"

'Time reversal..?' Lala was reminded of her unusual ability to rewind time through her death. She had always suspected the reason for her having access to something like that.

Suisei snarled. Then, a red light enveloped her body. Immediately, Sana became alert.

"Potential? I'll show you potential, Sana!"

All of a sudden, Suisei leaped forward with immense might. A vortex of crimson energy surrounded her as her eyes glowed dangerously.

"SPATIAL REND!"

"Tsk!" Sana grabbed Lala by her waist before teleporting to a rooftop. Glancing back, she could see the spot they were just in being ripped to absolute pieces.

"What the hell..." Lala cursed. "That..."

"As the one who is considered to be my equal," Sana began slowly. "I'm quite taken aback by her mastery of her techniques. That's not something I can do."

Sana then narrowed her eyes.

"I'll teleport you into Doctor Watson's lab before locking the space in this area to prevent Suisei from teleporting--"

Suddenly, Lala grabbed Sana's head before diving down. Mere milliseconds later, the space above their heads was slashed apart, revealing the darkness beneath the layer of reality.

"What the hell?!" Sana hissed at the sight. As she was about to react, her face paled as she realised the area had been locked down, negating her teleportation technique.

Appearing in front of them, Suisei glared at Sana.

"I'm disappointed in you, Sana. As the one who commands the 'external space', you shouldn't be losing in a battle of spatial locking-- not to someone who commands the 'internal space'."

In response, Sana stood up, gathering a pair of black holes in her hands.

"Don't get cocky, Suisei."

"Make me!"

Before Lala realised it, a blast of wind blasted her hair to the back. Goosebumps formed all over her body as Sana now laid on the ground before her, bleeding all over.
